10 yellow souls for more green / grey souls drop, worth it ?

Hello, I'm wondering if you guys find this worth it, I'm a bit hesitant because I don't know what I can buy with these that could be better after page 4. This is 10 of them and I don't have many 🤔.

That would make +1 green souls drop, I'm already at +4.

There is the same for +2 grey souls drop I'm already at +7.

Ps: I know about the chat gpt thingy, I might look into that someday but not for now. I hack the time already, and I don't plan to buy anything because unreasonably priced.

Nordic UI - setup in 2026

Hi all,

I have been working on having Nordic UI working recently with a modern skyrim setup (AE + SkyUI 6). As I didn't find anything well documented I started to do it alongside the process, after sharing it on nexusmods I have been told it could have a place on reddit, so here it is 👀

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/49881?tab=posts&comment_id=169548959

The reason for this documentation being that this fabulous mod is kinda broken now and is not supported anymore and there are a bunch of other mods attempting to fix it. To get everything working properly, options in fomod need to be selected carefully and load order matters.

If you have advice on this topic please share. I plan to update the list alongside improvements made, so all Nordic UI fans could have a well documented and recent guide to set it up.

Things I didn't yet manage:

  • Some quest markers are elongated diamond instead of square diamond.
  • Opacity not beeing the original one.
  • MoreHUD IE tested and working well but didn't add it yet to the list.
  • Racemenu fix not yet tested (requires DIP).

Mesh fixes and upgrades

Hello folks,

I love modding but as time past I had less and less time to spent on it sadly. So my strategy gradually moved to simplify and automate.

So far this got me to a fully self contained portable instance of MO2, with most of the tools and a simplified list of mods, with instructions (what, why and how).

In the process i now handle most of the graphics like this:

  • Mesh fixes and upgrades
  • PBR textures
  • PGPatcher
  • Community Shaders

The last 3 items are pretty much very easy. The first one (Mesh) is a real mess (no pun intended) to handle and I don't understand why is that so in 2026.

  • Meshes sometimes change the texture paths and add new textures
  • Meshes sometimes change the vanilla textures
  • Meshes don't always tell you exactly what they do, sometimes you have to open the archive and investigate.
  • Meshes don't have any indicator of quality or size (like resolution we could have for textures).
  • Meshes don't have AIO packs, there are thousands of mods and many packs like SMIM, MIC, Assorted Mesh Fixes, and so on.

This is the only part that gives me headache, up to now I've just been stacking randomly the mods I searched for when I stumbled upon something ugly in game.

How do you guys manage this part ? Did I miss anything miracle on this topic ?
