Treat as a 4-way stop

I regulaly walk past this intersection around 8:30am on my commute to work. Before the signs were removed and the crosswalk was installed, the intersection was busy, but never more than three or four cars in any direction.

Today, the cars on Meadowlark were backed up until almost Canary. The cars along Flamingo were backed up too, because some people still stopped out of habit. Others stopped to be kind, and let the cars on Meadowlark turn, but the amount of honking from impatient drivers has increased significantly, from none at all, to frequent.

Does anyone know if there was an accident?

Judging by the fluid on the ground behind it, it may have lost its coolant and overheated.
