Orioles No. 11 prospect by MLB Pipeline, 86th overall prospect by tjstats left hander Caden Hunter goes 7 scoreless with 2BB, 1 hit, 10Ks while carrying a no-hitter through 6 2/3 in his Double A debut

Really an insane season for Caden, too bad he gave up one hit right before he was about to come out but he got through seven dominant innings and threw a season high 89 pitches. I watched the game and he looks totally filthy, maybe even challenging Dzierwa as the best pitching prospect in the system as it stands. Wouldn’t be shocked to see him move onto more MLB prospect rankings soon.

Orioles Prospects Luis De Leon, Juaron Watts-Brown Promoted to AAA Norfolk, Wehiwa Aloy Promoted to AA Chesapeake

All very deserving, especially Aloy and De Leon who have been hot as of late. Too bad that Irish got injured it probably would have been him with Aloy otherwise.

Edit: From the top 30 prospects missed Caden Hunter also moving up to double A

Orioles top rospect Ike Irish tears meniscus, likely to miss rest of season - The Baltimore Banner

Well it happens but sad when he was doing so well and looked fast-tracked to the bigs, big part of why we wanted him. Will definitely slow his development if nothing else.

“Joseph Dzierwa, Boston Bateman off to strong starts in 2026”

Not much of anything new in this article but it’s nice to see some pitching prospects getting some recognition, especially Dzierwa. Just imagine what the rotation with these guys in it could look like if everything goes well.

Look out for Yaqui Rivera

He’s been received pretty mildly by most prospect rankings for a while now, consistently hovering outside of the top 30 range (53 on fangraphs this year) but the numbers look good. Lots of strikeouts throughout his career and this year he’s cut way down on the walks with the WHIP at that 0.88 mark, which looks like a big improvement from a fangraphs 30/35 command grade. Up to Norfolk now with a mid-90s sinker and a pretty nasty slider and change at age 22; is it time to get excited about him as a real pitching prospect?

Potential Re-rebuild

Well, I’m not loving what I’ve seen out of the O’s this season. It‘s POSSIBLE that we keep sucking and at that point it’ll have been for 2, maybe 2 and a half years and scrapping it and trying again would look smart. What would your plan be?
