A classic You Posted That! episode, clearly guest starring Chris Pratt's body double.... oh wait!

Kidding, it's Chris Pratt himself.

Picked the screenshot on purpose, a lot is happening in this scene that is so funny. Courtney in bliss with a melted brain, being smoothed in Chris' big arm embrace while both are slow-dancing, and Shayne recreates 1989's Say Anything in the background. Warms the heart.

Shame we didn't see Ian and his stretchy pants slow-dancing with Chris Pratt though....

Watching Duo You Know Your Mom-o, (DHKYD), and is the Smosh logo being beamed on the floor new? Never noticed it on Duo You Know Your Duo before. Looks great and such a good idea.

Adds decor, reminds the viewer of the brand, looks good and being a light, the floor space can be used for other show setups without leaving anything behind. It's pretty genius.

Well done to the Smosh person or people who came up with this.

Resto My Ride newly acquired U&Yesterday show feels very fake

So U&Yesterday started broadcasting a new car reality show based in Australia called Resto My Ride that made first broadcasted in 2020. "Australia's #1 Car Restoration TV Show" according to their website that only had 1 season.

I can see why it had one season, it feels very North American with the playing to camera and the main cast feels like they are acting for the camera, the camera-facing commentary or commentary making a big positive out of a minor thing that I feel wasted some energy just listening.

I am trying to like this "new" show, I like a fair bit of car shows but it just feels fake. The episode on this evening had a couple of examples.

The main host Dec Mc Kearney at points is talking to the camera directly and has a background of the garage in the background with two tool chests and a white wall but with two seconds I realise he is talking in front of a green screen, he's not even in the Garage.

Another is that he took delivery of a major engine repair that he outsourced and the man, I think did the work, delivers it and helps it inside then he and Dec start to unwrap the engine, Dec is using two hands energetically rips onto the cling film like plastic and the other unwraps another part one-handed with barely any effort, he other hand is free but no just barely trying with one. So it's feels like the engine courier/engineer was forced to partake in the partial unwrapping. Then they place the engine for a minute then goes to next scene.

So immediately the car has been finished off screen and revealed outside to the owner and it's the owner blindfolded and Dec is the other person there in front of the camera. Car is revealed and Dec is saying post-recording how "we" always enjoy these resto and to see the owners reaction but Dec was the only person giving back the restored car, where the other staff if they all look forward to the moment?

IMDb: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12921866/

I would rather see more episode repeats of Bangers & Cash, Flipping Bangers. Shed & Buried/Classic Cars in other channels are so much better.

Even West-Australian based Outback Car Hunters on other channels is superior, you see the whole process. Even if the car just appeared in their workshop with the purchase off screen, it's still so good to watch, you see most of the process of restoration.

Resto has a great premise but it's feels so fake, a direct UK comparison is Car Sos, they do joke bits and play around but you still see the hardwork and they make an effort on the reveal. They even did a reveal on the set of Emmerdale!

So yeah Resto My Ride feels as fake as Overhaulin' and the host Dec MC Kearney feels fake like the old host of Whale Wars who would have his show "brand" go to cons around the world to sell merch with no one from it's show. If Dec started to do this I kinda would not be surprised.
