Best Places to Buy a Sofa Set in Silchar? Need Advice

I'm planning to buy a new sofa set for my home and would love some recommendations from people here.

  • Which shop or furniture store would you recommend in Silchar?
  • Is it better to buy a ready-made sofa or get one custom-made by a carpenter/furniture maker? What are the pros and cons?
  • If you've bought a sofa recently, where did you get it from, how much did it cost, and are you happy with the quality?
  • What's a reasonable budget these days for a good-quality 3+2 or L-shaped sofa?
  • What are the most important things I should look for before buying one? (Frame material, foam density, fabric, warranty, etc.)

Any tips, recommendations, or things to avoid would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Waking Up After 5-5.5 Hours and Can't Fall Back Asleep

Early Morning Awakenings Despite Successful CBT-I

Has anyone experienced waking up after just 5-5.5 hours of sleep and then being unable to fall back asleep?

I've had insomnia for years, but after 4 weeks of CBT-I (currently in Week 5), I now fall asleep within 5-10 minutes most nights. However, I still wake up around sunrise after about 5-5.5 hours of sleep, and once I'm awake, it's extremely difficult to get back to sleep.

Sometimes I wake up with a racing heart, and even if I do drift back to sleep briefly, I wake up again shortly after feeling groggy and unrefreshed.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What turned out to be the cause?

Looking for a good sleep doctor / sleep specialist in Guwahati.

Hey everyone,

I've been having sleep issues for a while now, basically waking up exhausted no matter how much I sleep. It's been affecting my concentration and daily life quite a bit so I've decided to finally see a doctor about it.

Planning to go to AIIMS Guwahati but wanted to check if anyone here has seen a good neurologist or sleep specialist in the city, AIIMS or private, doesn't matter. Ideally somewhere that also has Polysomnography (sleep study) facility would be great.

Any leads would be really helpful. Thanks!

CBT‑I helped me fall asleep, now I wake up after ~5 hours. Has this happened to you?

I've been doing CBT‑I for about 4 weeks because I originally had trouble falling asleep. I followed the sleep restriction plan and it actually helped. I started falling asleep quickly. The first week was rough, the second week was the best, but weeks 3 and 4 haven't been great.

The issue has shifted: I no longer struggle to fall asleep, but I'm not getting enough sleep. I usually go to bed around 1:30 AM and set my alarm for 8:00 AM, but I consistently wake up between 7:00 and 7:40 AM, often before my alarm. If I lie in bed after waking, I start to feel awful, my heart rate goes up and I feel anxious, so I get up right away.

I don't feel rested with just over 5 hours of sleep and I don't know what's causing me to wake so early. I’m slowly trying to move my bedtime earlier to get more sleep, but I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this shift after CBT‑I? Any tips or similar experiences would be really helpful.

5 years of unrefreshing sleep, morning racing heart, buzzing headache and fatigue: suspect UARS, looking for people with similar experiences

Hi everyone. I'm a 36 year old male dealing with a progressive sleep issue for about 5 years, starting around the COVID pandemic.

##Current symptoms

- Many nights I never truly fall asleep — I stay in a constant semi-conscious dream state the entire night, not fully asleep, not fully awake

- Wake up 3 to 4 times a week feeling completely wrecked — racing heart, extreme fatigue, buzzing headache that lasts all day

- On days when I don't really go into deep sleep, I wake up at 3 AM with a mild urge to urinate

- Mild snoring confirmed by others

- Vitamin D deficiency

- On good nights I wake up genuinely refreshed — so the sleep system itself seems intact

##What I've tried

- Standard sleep hygiene advice from doctors — minimal effect

- Currently doing side sleeping, steam inhalation, saline rinse, nasal strips, myofunctional exercises, morning sunlight, and gradually shifting sleep schedule earlier

- Started Vitamin D supplementation

##Why I suspect UARS

The intermittent pattern, mild snoring, morning autonomic symptoms, nocturia, and the persistent semi-conscious dream state point toward UARS rather than classic OSA or insomnia.

##What I'm looking for

  1. Has anyone with confirmed UARS experienced intermittent bad nights rather than every night being affected?
  2. Did behavioural interventions alone make a meaningful difference before formal treatment?
  3. Any experience with post-COVID sleep issues that eventually improved?
  4. Anything else I haven't considered?

Sleep study is the plan , just looking for shared experiences in the interim. Thanks.
