Headshots thoughts after crazy acting agent
Hi,
I am an actress and my playing age is 16 to 25. I mostly get requests for high school roles, playing a teenager. An agent recently expressed interest in representing me, and was quite rude to me from the start saying not very nice things. Anyway he asked me to do a self tape for the lead character 18 TPY, the character is in high school. He was giving compliments about how I'm he's new muse and fellini would have loved me. He kept asking how old I am, and eventually I just said 28, and he replied you can still play younger, the camera loves you. (Of course I play younger that is my niche) So I started learning the script, and he kept bombarding me with age based harassment, even on my whatsapp out of nowhere. Saying comments such as 28 is very late to start acting. (i've been acting for years i'm not just starting) then went on to belittle my career in modelling, saying that I should not model if I want to be taken seriously as an actress. (Again been acting for years). He said I cannot call myself a Supermodel, no one will book me in acting and how i'm not one. ( I am considered a Supermodel, by the fashion industry and general public) He sent me harasssing karen haircuts and said I need to do one of them and I should be with brown hair and then ultimately before I even sent in my tape started saying that pitching me to teen roles is a waste of time and that I have to be only 24 to 30. (now that he asked my age and I said 28 he decided that he would attack and fake change my playing age) He then continuosly attacked me saying more age comments. (even though this agent sent me a high school character upon sight of my headshots and acting reel, before asking my age)
He then said pitching me to teen roles is a waste of everyones time and I will never book them. He also said I will never get a modelling agency in Australia.
he was also being innapropriate and hitting on me making weird comments
He then said in the acting world actors have to play as close to their real age only and that's normal. (Even though every actor on he's site has a playing age up to 15 years younger)
What do you think? Everyone else says I look in high school.
