S24+ Exynos Vs S25+ Snapdragon

Since my S24+ had a cracked screen—nothing that really got in the way of using it, but I decided to replace it anyway—the main reason was that they charged me 60% of the phone’s value to replace the screen.

I decided to go with the S25+ instead of the S26+ (I don’t like the Ultra models), precisely because the S25+ line has the Snapdragon Elite in all devices and countries, while the S26+ has Exynos again (in Brazil).

And I wanted to make sure if all the hate for Exynos in the S line was real.

I’ve only had the device for a month, and the difference the Snapdragon has made is simply surreal. Basically, looking at the two devices, I’d say the only difference is the color, although reviews say the S25+ is lighter and thinner than the S24+, I can’t tell without putting them side by side and paying close attention.

But the battery life is night and day—the phone drains much more slowly with the screen off, and it heats up much less during use and even while charging, and that makes a huge difference because I live in a very hot part of the country.

So just to confirm from my experience: Yes, it’s a dirty trick by Samsung to use Snapdragon in the US and try to push Exynos in other countries, which seem to be poorer or perhaps less able to demand better options due to a lack of alternatives.

But it’s worth remembering that this might just be a major technological leap for the Snapdragon Elite.
