Magsafe Case for S24 (EU-based)

Hi,

I am EU-based and looking for a case with MagSafe support for my Galaxy S24. Looking for which options are available, it came to my attention that for S24, nearly no options are on the market (anymore).

Anyone has any recommendation for a case for S24? There are quiet a few "noname" ones on Amazon in the area of 7-15 € but I assume they will wear down pretty fast considering the price.

I was also looking on S25 cases (as there are plenty options available) but I am not sure as thickness of S24 and S25 are a little bit different and I do not wanna loose kind of protection of the case. Or is someone successfully using a S25 case on the S24 and can recommend it?

Hesitating betweens S23 and S24

Hello! I'm looking to get a new refurbished phone to replace my Galaxy A13 5G (which has always been very laggy btw), and I'm hesitating between S23 (250$ CAD) and S24 (450$ CAD).

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to phone specs and if they're actually good, so that's why I'm looking for some guidance.

I'm mainly looking for a phone that will be durable, and I'm not very concerned with performance (I just don't want it to be laggy, my A13 has scarred me). The only game I play is Old School RuneScape which doesn't require a lot of specs.

I've seen reviews from 1-2 years ago saying that S23 might be better, but I'm curious to see how that holds up in 2026 since they said that S23's final update will be in 2027.

Thanks in advance :)

S24+. Do you have any issues with last security update?

I received a security update a few days ago, and since then, my S24+ has been unable to connect to the network. I constantly get "No SIM" and "No signal" notifications. Interestingly, the phone occasionally connects to the network, but as soon as I open the Phone app to make a call, the connection drops again.

Who else the same issue?

Galaxy S24+ Review: So that's what a modern flagship's like?

I got my S24+ about 100h ago, new and sealed, 12/256, Snapdragon version. This is my 3rd flahship phone and my 7th phone overall and so far, I got a lot to say about it!

Software:

As this is my 5th Samsung phone, I'm a bit too familiar with OneUi at this point, however, I'm still amazed everytime by the new features. Last time I used a Samsung was one OneUi 8.0 so I discovered 8.5 with this S24+ and I find it very smooth overall and the new animations makes the whole experience more coherent. On top of that I have acces to the whole Good Lock suite of apps that I didn't have acces to on the A54 and I'm amazed by the level of personalisation that you can achieve on a Samsung phone nowadays. Plus, I had zero bugs so far so touch wood that I won't have any.

Hardware:

Well, it is not a brick! I was afraid it would be a brick but it is in fact very nice to hold, even though it's not as nice as my S9, my Note 14 Pro or my Find X5 were, but I'm a sucker for curved phones so I'm not objective. My A54 in comparaison was one huge brick so I'm really happy with it so far, plus it's kinda light for its size. The screen is good. It's not exceptional, but the software features to adapt the colors to the lighting conditions, the high brightness and the LTPO are always nice features to have. I kept it on FHD, I'm waiting to see if I need more pixels before putting it in QHD, but overall, the screen is maybe not as good as I expected but still very decent. The speakers are clean but not as loud or as nice as my Note 14 Pro, that's a bit of a bummer but it's still fine. Mic pickup is excellent however, espcially during calls.

Processor:

Well, considering that at the time the SD888 on my Find X5 felt fast, that the SD7+G3 on my tablet is also fast to me, let me tell you that this is FAST. So far it's on light performance mode, haven't used any benchmark or anything or tried intensive gaming, BUT, that thing is flying fast. Everything is instant. Turning on 4G? Instant. Turning off Wi-Fi? Instant. Closing an app? Instant. Awnsering a call? Instant. Camera use? Instant. I haven't been waiting for anything I asked the phone to do as long as it wasn't dependent on Wi-Fi speeds, which here in my lost French countryside are abyssmal. Plus it doesn't heat much and doesn't seem to use much power overall so I'm very happy with the SD8G3 and it is more then enough for 98% of the population nowadays.

Utilities:

I get a way better reception in many places compared to my A54 or my Note 14 Pro, that's nice. I get Wi-Fi on the last floor of house whereas neither of my two previous phones were getting it, that's nice. Lots of codecs and good sound quality over Bluetooth, that's nice. Pretty fast charging + wireless charging as well, they're nice. The big plus here are the software updates until 02/2031, means I can keep the phone for a while if I need to.

Battery:

It's decent so far if not good. I know it takes about 10 days for the phone to learn your usage so I'll make another post in about two weeks to update this, but so far, 5h to 6h of SoT and 18h of standby per charge while having 25% of juice left in the tank is more then enough for me, espcially with mixed use of Wi-Fi and 4G.

Cameras:

They're really good, but I'll make a special post about them someday.

That's pretty much a good summary of my experience so far! Thanks for reading if you did!

performance issue with S24 Exynos

why does my phone does feel like a flagship at all with a worse performance in games like Racing Master and Wuthering Waves where the game load but after a few minutes of playing the game got major stuttering and then the screen freeze and force close the game, anyone having the same issue or exynos just have the worst performance for a flagship

OneUI 7 update.

Hello Samsung knights. So I recently bought an S24 Ultra. I was waiting for the S26, but Samsung, in my opinion, is moving in the wrong direction. So I chose the "last proper" Ultra.

Now to the question. The smartphone has One UI 7, and obviously wants to update to a newer version[ oneui 8] . I'm okay with 7 so far, but are there any real-life benefits to updating? I know there's more AI stuff, but to me, it looks like just fun toys. I'm aware of Apple's shitty strategy where every new update breaks more than it fixes. I know Samsung is not that company, but nevertheless...

Does your battery life improve?

Are there any more hidden useful features?

Please share your experience.

Does S24 back get attracted towards a magsafe charger?

So recently I got a magsafe powerbank. Because of its portability. Like I can easily carry it in my pocket.

The power bank was sitting on the table and I put my S24 on top of it. When I did, I felt a pull like the powerbank was pulling my phone's back toward it. Just to be sure that it's not just in my mind. I tried it a few times and it was still pulling it, it's not as snap on as an actual magsafe but still. As far as I remember S24 does not have magnets and last time I checked, copper coils do not get attracted towards magnets. So what's happening here?

Grayish tint on low brightness

So I just got an S24 (non-Ultra, non-plus) due to a broken screen on my old phone(S22U).

And I'm having this issue that everything looks like it has a bluish-gray tint when setting the brightness to anything in the lowest 10%, compared to my old phone.

Is this a normal occurrence for the S24 line?

S24 as a merchant payment terminal

If you're running any kind of small operation and haven't looked at phone-based payments, worth checking out. Tried accepting a card payment through my Galaxy instead of using a reader, customer tapped, payment went through in about 3 seconds. Samsung NFC placement is solid for this easy to locate on the back.

Overheating, ruined photos and always unlocking

I upgraded last year after 6 years with S10 and I am so disappointed. The phone keeps unlocking if there is no security lock. I don' have that, I'm mostly at home or out in nature and it was annoying to have fingerprint or password etc. And just by picking it up and having it in my pocket or a bag it keeps unlocking.

Another thing is overheating. Only browsing online will make it overheat like crazy. I am literally shocked. When I use some apps they keep closing because the phone is overheating all the time! Then I go to my old s10 and use the same app and it's fine.

The most annoying are the photos. Somehow on most of the photos there is this blue or white streak from the light. Even indoors with no direct light into the lens somehow there is STILL that streak/ ray. So many of my photos are completely ruined by it. Sometimes it is absolutely impossible to take a photo without it. You have to really change the angle and well, sometimes then I can't take a photo that I wanted.

I can't even believe how shitty this phone is. Absolutely regret buying it. Idk what Samsung is doing, this is completely unacceptable. I had none of these problems with my old one. I actually can't pinpoint one issue I had with s10 until ofc the battery deteriorated.

If anyone has any solutions to these problems, please help. Especially the photo one.

S24 Ruined by the last update

Good morning,

I don't know if it's happening to you too but since I did the last update, it had actually already started with the previous update, my s24 is always hot.

It also happens that every time I take a photo and maybe listen to music with Spotify in the meantime, the camera stops all background processes and goes into serious difficulty. Sometimes the camera app crashes too Unfortunately this latest update destroyed the phone.

s24 ultra charging problem

if i charge it using wire, it always gives me humidity issue. but if i charge it wirelessly it works. the phone is new, the chargers work fine and ive even changed it couple of times. this is not the first time i see this issue with a samsung phone, and when the phone is shut off it charges with wire.
is this perhaps a software issue?

Has anyone tried debloating the device using Ruvomain Protocole on Github. Is it safe?

https://github.com/Ruvyrom/Ruvomain-Protocole this is the link for Ruvomain Protocole on Github.

Is it safe to do? Will it void the warranty or Accidental Damage protection. I still have got 2.5 years of warranty left.

Just bought a S24+, welcome back Samsung

12/256, SD version, new and sealed.
This is gonna be my second flagship phone that I've kept after my S9, I had an Oppo Find X5 at some point for two weeks but I didn't keep it due to poor battery life. Since then I've had an A54 and a Redmi N14Pro 5G. I'm ditching the Redmi due to many software and performance issues, I had about 350€ for budget and it's sales season here in France. It's currently on its way and I'm excited to try a recent Samsung flagship as well as curious whether or not I made the right choice picking this over the OnePlus 13R.

Hope I'm not going to regret this!

Need Advice: Getting Samsung S24 in around 9k

A guy in nearby area planing to sell his S24 Not discussed storage or age of device

He told there is no problem but just back panel tear (I saw it nothing major problem)

Seems like Exynos 2400 processor and 2.5 to 3 yo

As I looked mobile and asked which is this He told S24 and told don't buy or like samsung/android has low resale value, this is not even going for 8k and he is going for iphone in few days Then his friends asked in masti "give us in 8k" Then I said I'll take it for 10k if everything is okay Then exchanged numbers. Day after tomorrow I called him and he said he'll ping me after he fix about another device after a month.

Another friend of mine suggest me to get check it from samsung store before full deal

Is it a good deal? Suggest what to check
