Shopify App Review Wait time August 2026

I think it would be good to get one of this kind of post going for each month. So developers can see what current timelines fellow developers are experiencing each month.

Considering there has not been any official commitment to a fixed timeline released or communicated by the team. Most developers are having to be in the dark and that is mentally draining for most. No one likes to be left in the dark when dealing with approval of anything in life. At least if you are hearing others timeline it might give developers a glimpse of hope and expectation.

Hey r/SaaS, I am building Nummbas, a financial command center for founder-led DTC and ecommerce brands.

The problem is familiar if you have ever run a store:

Shopify says sales are up.
Meta says ROAS is fine.
Stripe shows money coming in.
QuickBooks has the expenses.
ShipStation has shipping costs.
Inventory is sitting somewhere else.
Then the founder is still in a spreadsheet at 10pm trying to answer one basic question:

Did we actually make money this week?

That is what Nummbas is trying to solve.

It connects the tools an ecommerce business already uses and gives the owner one place to see:

  • What they actually keep after ads, shipping, fees, returns, and expenses
  • Cash runway and cash pressure
  • Product margins, dead stock, and inventory risk
  • Ad performance across platforms
  • Expense spikes and vendor spend
  • Weekly action items
  • PDF reports for investors, lenders, or advisors
  • Mobile check-ins and alerts
  • Nummbas-FO, an AI financial officer that answers questions using their actual business data

The ICP is the founder-led brand that has outgrown spreadsheets but is not ready for a full-time CFO.

The positioning is what I am working through.

“Ecommerce analytics” sounds like more charts.
“Finance software” sounds like accounting.
“AI CFO” sounds punchy, but also a bit like every AI tool right now.

The clearest version I have so far is:

A financial command center for ecommerce founders who need to know what they actually kept and what to fix next.

That feels closer to the real pain, because most founders do not wake up wanting analytics. They want to know whether the business is healthy, whether they can spend more, whether they should cut something, and whether the numbers they are looking at are lying to them.
