How do you show love to an animal that can't display any emotions besides hunger?

I love and will try to pet every animal I come across but seeing this video just makes me so uneasy , I do not understand how you can come close to an animal like an alligator? It is giving 0 body language from what I could feel , which helps me the most when I try petting an animal and it's eyes are not showing anything either. Any insights?

video is from @ petcollective on youtube

Someone saw my scars and I felt such a weird feeling that I can't describe and I need help on identifying what it is

I was grabbing the delivery off of the delivery person while I was looking down and he saw the cuts that were still pretty new and because I was looking down I didn't exactly see his face but I saw that he reacted with his face and it was this , from what I could tell from the corner of my eye , an immediate reaction that sparked this , what it felt like , a momentary spark of concern and thankfully the interaction was over before it could developed and I had this feeling that I could only label as similar to embarrassment/excitement , but it wasn't those two because I know very well how they feel like , it was unlike anything I felt that I can only describe as weird , a way I could probably explain is probably what a person with exhibitionism would feel when they get caught , except they are not horny.

Genuinely what is this feeling? It was so weird
