BS vs BA

Would you advise a high school senior to choose a college with an environmental science major over a college with only an environmental studies major? It seems that the BS is way more valued than a BA but the student is torn because they want the college with only environmental studies, but is afraid it may limit future job choices.
There really isn’t a BS that is relevant to them at the BA school (bio requires 4 chem classes and calc that they think is beyond their abilities). Their goal is forestry, state parks, or maybe environmental education in these arenas.
It’s tough to advise student to follow their instincts and enjoy college when it might really affect their job options.
(I advise high school students and like to get input here)

Hinarr to The J dining hall?

Just curious how long a walk it is? Trying to decide which dining plan to get and wondering how often I might actually get over there.

Do the showers have doors or do we need to provide shower curtains?

Does the frig have an ice maker in freezer? (unlikely but figured I’d ask)

Do we need to bring a dish drainer for the sink?

Do they provide trash cans in bedrooms and kitchen or do we need to provide our own?

Lastly, do they provide a broom in the apt or we bring our own?

I know, all minutia questions but need to know what is needed and what isn’t and I couldn’t anything on the website.

I went to an open house and was pretty surprised not to see a single pride flag or another pride things. I was told Fort Lewis was very queer friendly but I didn’t really get that vibe. Of course, I didn’t see every single building but I usually see quite a few Pride things around colleges. I did see a drag event flier on a bulletin board but that was it. I saw the gender and sexuality office but it was closed so couldn’t ask any questions.

Can anyone comment on the queer community and acceptance? Especially for trans students. Thanks
