Does anybody know where to buy translucent blond horn blanks, similar to vintage ones?

I ask because the precut blonde scales I find are not nearly as light or translucent as vintage ones shown in the picture. Thanks!

Snagged this off facebook, 100 USD for both! Quite a large Escher at over 9 inches long

Can anybody ID the smaller purple striated stone?

I already flattened both and used the Escher to finish a couple of razors. It was an amazing shave!

Hi, are there any local stores that sell good quality hardwood blanks for lathe work (Such as maple, ash, walnut, or even exotic woods, etc)?

Bonus if these places sell 1/8 thick sheets of hardwood for other projects.

Just received this in the mail! It's a hollow grind stub tail 9/16 inch wide. It comes with plastic scales, which are probably replacements

I'm looking forward to cleaning it up a bit and getting it shave ready. Straight out of the box it already grabs hairs
