Ballet scene

I made this ballet shop display- as you can see there is not much room, but I love how it came out. The most difficult part was finding realistic ballet merch. I hope you like it!

I also included some pictures of a ballet studio I have in my main dollhouse.

Wanted to share this with you all

Hey everyone!

I make miniature dollhouses as a hobby, and wanted to share this little scene of a ballet shop. I hope you like it. If you have questions about anything I'll be happy to answer them.

Another thing to add to the list of reasons not to get pregnant

I was just watching a video about weddings gone wrong, but suddenly the story got into a long explanation for an update; we would be informed that the bride got pregnant on the wedding night; she gets tests and they informed her that the baby has a lump of liquid on the neck and she might miscarriage. She doesn't but pregnancy becomes hell: her hair is falling out in chunks; her teeth are rotten and falling off; couldn't eat, or sleep. Her body was aching every day; low iron levels. She starts labor; she does not dilate. 2 days of that. They broke her water; labor is not happening. They take her for a C-section. Epidural wears off and she feels EVERYTHING. They take the baby out clinically dead, but revive it. Long story short, she finds out that the reason she was so sick during the pregnancy is because the placenta was too small (think 3% of normal size) to sustain the fetus life, so the fetus was literally sucking the life out of her to stay alive. I had never heard of a placenta being small-sized, so today I learned.

And after all this (TMI, thank you very much) I am left there, thinking that I just wanted some laughs regarding weddings SNAFUS...

ETA: the story continues that the husband actually was no help during labor or recovery, that he slept all the time, and the MIL was the one helping, cleaning house, doing laundry, baking meals and taking them to her in bed. She mentions that she was unable to bond with baby, and that the recovery was hard because the surgery was worse than usual because of big incisions due to the urgency. She mentions anxiety and dread too.

Gift for a teacher

Hi all!

I know this may be asked all the time, but the circumstances are a bit different. Bear with me: this is my first year ever doing ballet (adult beginner here), and the teacher is young enough to be my daugher (yes, I am old, LOL!).

This is not a class gift, it is only mine, hence my confusion. She has been amazing in classes, sweet, patient, and I am really grateful for everything she has taught me, and I hope I have her again next year. The thing is, I barely know anything about her, so I am afraid of picking something she does not need/want/already has.

What I have so far is a thank you card, and I had thougth about a gift card from a local shopping store (think a place like Macy's or Harrods) and maybe flowers. My mother suggested maybe one of those preserved roses under a little dome. What are your thoughts on these?

Also, we have a show in three weeks, but she is featuring us among many other classes of our academy. No place to hide anything, and the thing is, we will have classes until the end of June. So, I am not sure when/how to give her the gifts.

Any recommendations/ideas appreciated (my budget for the gift card is 30 euros).

Thank you in advance!
