Happy birthday, Navia!
I rescued my sweet girl at 5 years old back in march. i’m not sure when exactly her birthday is, but considering i’ve named her after navia from genshin, they will now be sharing the same birthday!! happy 6th bday miss gecko and im so excited to share many more with you!!
I-Spy a little gecko
she is so Yellow today i’ve just been watching her climb around 🙂↕️ little lady
Navia’s night time routine
recently she’s been spending all day in her coconut. literally a minute after i do her night time spray and turn off her light, she is poking her head out and getting ready to hit the town 🙂↕️🙂↕️ it’s so fun to see before i go to bed
My mini dragon and her castle
she’s just so cool to look at 😭😭 i never get tired of seeing her i love this girl so much
she needed to be rehomed back in march and i’m really glad i was able to find her :,3 getting her and being able to build her enclosure from scratch and constantly upgrade it as time goes on has been so much fun. can’t wait to get her an even bigger one once i finally have my own place and more space
Too cluttered?
I recently had to remove the main center branch of my geckos enclosure due to mites?? i think?? burrowing into the wood. i also took away the bio active portion due to the issue of pests. She does have three real snake plants she likes to climb and she enjoys hiding under leaves!
I like how this looks a lot, but this is my first gecko. I’m not sure if this is too much clutter or if she will be more than happy in her mini jungle. any advice appreciated!!
found some eggs!
had to do a deep clean of my geckos enclosure to deal with some pests (only for the cricket that’s been haunting my sleep for months to chirp at me the second everything is back in place ) and found these!
i’ve had her since march 18th, so im assuming she’s had one egg a month since getting her :D i thought this was so cool and wanted to share
New terrarium? Help!
Due to an influx of baby crickets and possible mites in my crested gecko enclosure, i need to do a deep clean of it to get rid of the pests. Over the past few weeks ive noticed an increase of baby isopods that’s really boosted the amount in the tank. When I do the deep clean, i’m debating if I should remove some and put into their own terrarium.
This is my first bio active set up. I feel a bit silly for not thinking about what to do once the isopods start reproducing a bunch 😭 Has anyone been in this situation before? How did you handle it?
From what i’ve seen, there’s at least 30 baby isopods, but there’s probably much more hidden in the soil. The terrarium they’re currently in is 16x16 on the bottom with about 4 inches of soil.
baby crickets in terrarium?
So. for reference. I used to give my gecko about 5-7 crickets a week in her enclosure that she would hunt down for enrichment. Usually the crickets are too small to make any noise. But back in early may, about two days or so after giving her the crickets, i started hearing the chirping.
I’ve turned to giving her insect pangea in the mean time, because i didn’t want to risk any baby crickets happening. i tried catching it with honey in water bottles and it never worked, so i just hoped she would find it and eat it. it has now been over 2 months, i still hear the cricket, and today i saw This
If somehow TWO crickets survived for two months in the enclosure, and now there’s babies, how fucked am i? this is a bio active enclosure with tons of isopods and springtails. I can’t just uproot everything to try to get rid of these. If anyone has been in a similar situation, i’d appreciate any advice😭😭😭
What’s your best ranked build on akasha?
i still need a better sands, but i think a top 400 navia is pretty great!! :D
Shes so vibrant!!
I love how she looks after the humidity rises from the nightly mist, so pretty!!
saw my first molt!!
i’ve recently just had my first ever batch of baby isopods pop up in my crested geckos enclosure, so i’ve been looking around a lot to check up on them. tonight after giving some fresh carrots, i saw this!! it’s a poor picture, but i figured if there’s anywhere i can be excited about this and share it, it’s this subreddit :D
Red potatoes? Help!
added a photo of my enclosure as a cover bc the picture is kind of gross😭 but the other day i added in some left over potatoes for my clean up crew to eat up. The ones pictured were placed under a piece of wood where my larger isopods tend to hang out.
These are the only two potato pieces that have turned this red color. The others that have been scattered about still look normal. Is this something to be concerned with? Should i remove the pieces?
This is my first enclosure, and it seems like my isopods and spring tails are unbothered, but i don’t want a piece of food to cause more harm than good. I may just be over reacting, but i just want to see if this has happened to anyone else!
Does anyone else’s dig?
Miss Navia has done this regularly since I got her. She just did it again the other day and just fully disappears into the soil. Her previous owner said she used to do it all the time before too! Does anyone else’s crestie do this? Or is mine just silly LOL
my zibai hit 2.1mil in stygian…
decided to just check some stats on hoyolab and saw this. mind u my navia and flins are c6 and zibai is only c2 and i don’t have linnea. what the hell
