My sisters gecko sleeping in weird positions compilation
Hes so stupid

Hes so stupid
My crested gecko just moved into his new enclosure on Thursday and yesterday he stayed in one spot all day even at night he barely moved. I decided to hand feed him and he was drinking and eating some of his pangea and he jumped towards the glass door. This is my fault because I shouldve opened it after that and let him in but I continued feeding him and he fell another two times (grabbing on the cord those times so he didn't hit the ground). Normally he isn't this skittish but he ejaculated? into my hand and also some water came out. I left the room and turned the lights off so he can calm down and put the semen on a microscope slide but it just looks like shedding, could I have accidentally damaged something internally or is that just how crested gecko semen looks like 😭
By the way it was only a 3 feet fall at most because i'm not super tall and I was holding him by my stomach.
Edit: The reason I put it under the microscope is because I wasn't super if the reddish brown spots were blood or coconut fiber. It ended up being dirt so i'm glad its nothing bad.
This person continually over mist their crestie enclosure after being told about it multiple times (you can see a old post of mine talking about this as well)
I just got a crested gecko… is this light ok?
Update: ended up getting an Arcadia 5.0 UVB light. Thanks to this sub!
Hey all! My wife and I were just gifted a Crestie that was in need of a re-home. We have a long history of being the second, third, or fourth owner of fun pets but always their last.
This is Happy's enclosure (as named by the previous home's 3-yo) and Happy. He's a 3 gram baby but a lot of fun and fairly sociable given his newness in our home. He really likes sitting in our hand or on a ledge and eating out of a spoon.
I'll post in the mega thread to ask about his morphology!
Thanks all!
This guy is a rescue, he was put into a small enclosure with another crested gecko about a year old when he was a baby and i rescued him about a month ago. i think he’s about 5-6 months old, and 5 of those months was in the enclosure with the other gecko.
That being said, he’s had no problems. he eats very well, drinks his water, and is very active at night. but even though he shows all these good signs, he is absolutely terrified of me and can’t seem to recognize i’m not a threat. i only tried to hold him once about 2 weeks after i got him, but he hissed and jumped as far away from me as he could. about a week ago at night he was climbing on the glass, and i slowly put my finger next to him from the other side of the glass to see if he would chill, but again he ran away. i’ve tried tong feeding him twice and he ran away both times, but he’s watched me put his food and his insets in there all the time. i’ve decided just to give him more space for a while, but is there anything i can do to help him realize i’m not a threat? i’ve owned many reptiles before and the one that was the most scared of me, my leopard gecko, is basically my best friend now. i just don’t understand quite what i’m doing wrong, and if it is my fault, so if anyone has any advice id greatly appreciate it. thanks for your time!
We got her on a suggestion. Shes become more of a "dad" task now lol. Love her, shes awesome. But want to make sure set up looks and shes looking good. She seems happy! I follow all the care instructions I was told to. Have had her just over a year now. I just discovered this reddit.
He's about 5 years old now, and everyone else's cresties look so much chonkier than him. He's never been wider than this.
He doesn't ever eat all his food, and I'm giving him a mix of the watermelon and the growth pangea. He rarely takes wax worms anymore, although for the first few years he exclusively ate crickets and mealworms. Suddenly one day he went vegan and started taking the pangea.
My crested twig decided it was my time and bred asexually I have no clue what to do because I didn’t plan for this and there’s another egg that hasn’t hatched yet but appears to have a baby in it what do I do…
My husband and I have had a crested gecko for about four years now. We got him as a baby and moved him up from a little juvenile baby tank to an adult tank when he got older only to realize that the adult tank was too small for him still. We bought an absolutely massive tank with plans to set it up as a bioactive, and it’s been sitting in our living room not even removed from the box for over six months now. It’s been feeling like our ability to care for him has been waning over the years. His current tank is in a state of… dishevelment, to put it mildly. I think I already know the answer to this question, I just need to hear it from someone else who knows more than we do. Should we try to salvage this and push ahead with making a bioactive tank in the hopes that it is less effort to maintain, or should we rehome him and let him go to someone who can care for him properly? To be clear to mods, we are NOT trying to advertise for rehoming in this post, just seeking advice on whether or not it is the best course of action in this situation. The rehoming, should that be what we decide to do, WILL be done on appropriate websites.
Ive had my boy for almost a month on the dot now and have been stressing that I haven't been doing things right😭🙏. Its hard to tell if he eats or where his poops are but he had a full shed last night so I believe we're doing good!(?) I saw some stuck shed on his toes so I went n got some moss and stuff to help with humidity a bit as ive had a few struggles with it. But seeing this is hopefully a sign of good things to come! (Lmk if not tho I really want to give him the best life possible) (before and after tank photos along w/ gecko tax😛)
I wanted to add more *stuff* but I’m worried by doing so that my grow light will not reach my plants at the bottom.
I am quite new to owning a crested gecko, so I decided to ask for any tips regarding my rescue crestie Neo's enclosure.
Any things I should add or improve? He has access to UVB and a daylight lamp to support plant growth and provide a stable day & night cycle.
Thank you in advance for any comments on his current enclosure!
Forgive me for sounding stupid, but I just want to double check. If I weigh a cup with my gecko in it and then once again without the gecko and then subtract I should get an approximate weight? I tried to TARE the cup but she just didn’t want to stay still enough for me to get her in the cup and then stay in it lol. Figure instead of frantically trying to handle her a lot to position her right just quickly get her in the cup with a closed lid
Hi, im getting my first crestie in about 3 weeks and wanted some feedback on my vivarium.
It's bioactive, and the springtails and isopods have been in there for just over a month.
I have a uvb light and a heat lamp set up on timers.
The enclosure is 120×80×40cm.
Is there anything I should add/change?
Like the title says, he doesn’t eat anything other than watermelon. I tried spoonfeeding and leaving a bowl of pangea in his tank, and he will only eat watermelon. What do I do? Should I feed him live crickets? I have freeze dried ones but heard they are not very nutritious.
I just got this crested yesterday from a breeder. I just wanted to get your thoughts on how he is looking overall?
I noticed he looks thinner and has a longer head. His front arms are thin.
I am working on bulking him up offering pangea, dusted buggies and all. He does eat and explore but i guess i just wanted to see if he looked okay to you guys as far as structure, not mbd looking.
