2015 Portland Jane Doe's NAMUS Page Has Been Removed

Portland Jane Doe, a thirty-to-fifty year old Korean-American woman, was found washed up on a rocky beach in Portland, Maine, on May 22, 2015, just days after her death. She is believed to have taken her life. No identification was found on her remains. The DNA Doe Project has been working to identify her with genetic genealogy since 2019, but were stymied by distant matches, most of whom were adoptees trying to track down their birth families.
Her NAMUS page was removed yesterday, Monday, May 18th, 2026, indicating that she has likely been identified.
