So I’m approaching month 9 and still no call no update and thankfully no DQ letter. At this point just applying to other LEO Agencies. The amount of officers who are accepted and quit and here I am trying to be the guy who wants to live at work 🤷🏽♂️ all good NYSDOCCS gonna just lose a good candidate once another agency gets me.

Anyone else still waiting to be called from January 2026 cohoes date ?
As quick as people get called for academy , some drop out ( which can be a position for someone who really wants the job ) people resign and retire everyday. I’ve been told the longest wait time was 9 months but he had some personal things to clear up. In addition to that , I called psych they said they are not allowed to give out information only that our investigator will reach us if proceeding and a letter will be mailed if not. Started in January I’m now on month 7 :-( this wait sucks !!!!!!!! I just want to get the ball rolling as much as everyone else ! 😖
I give up. Just gonna apply to other law enforcement agencies. Been waiting since January. Good luck to those in academy and those who are waiting to be called and those who were called. Stay in the fight. NYDOCCS STRONG.
So I have called the psych dept and my case is still pending & being reviewed from January 🤦🏽♂️ what can possibly be the hold up. I lost all faith smh

I know everyone timeline is different. Who has the longest wait time. I started processing since late December cohoes January for medical and psych. Still no call. I’m starting to get discouraged anyone can give me some insight ? I’m roughly 6 months waiting
When is the next academy date if anyone knows ? I give up on depending on a call. It’s been 5 months going on 6 now. I’m annoyed.
It’s been 4 months since I have not hear anything back for academy 😔 I understand no news is good news. The state is very short on officers and officers leave everyday ( retire , quit etc ) hopefully we get called for June academy. What are the odds ?
