The SSA portal changed in middle of night and showed a one time payment dated for today. Nothing is in my bank account. Will it show up sometime today or should I expect it next week? I bank with Huntington if that matters. Thanks!
I Was approved by ALJ on 4/17/26. On 5/12 portal updated to step 4 of 4 approved and my benefit letter shows my monthly amount , Medicare info etc. it doesn’t show payments yet but does say I will get paid starting May 2026 every third Wednesday of each month. Does that mean I’ll get a payment this month on 20th? Can anyone share their experience at this point? I only get SSDI , Will I get backpay soon?
Anyone know of any short term loans for credit for people with credit in low 600s? I desperately need 3900 while I’m waiting on my SSDI backpay, anyone know who the best place to go would be? Thanks!
Hi, I was approved on April 17th. I had my hearing 2/26/26 and it went to step 4 on the 17th. Local office and attorney both said approved fully favorable. I updated my banking info on 24th with local office. On the 28th I had a missed call from Chicago payment center but couldn’t call back because it was a non working number. My lawyer called me the next morning and said that Chicago needed my workers comp info. I wasn’t on workers comp. I was in 2016 when I filed my first case. So they had me fill out a form stating that and they sent it electronically that day 4/29. On Fri I asked my attorney if that would hold up my backpay and she replied no it wouldn’t and it seems they are moving at what appears to be extremely swift speed. It still shows step 4 of 5 on portal. Benefit letter hasn’t changed and nothing about payments. Has anyone who was approved around same time as me received any payments or at least how much? I know I’ve cleared the hurdle and I’m so grateful but I’m drowning in bills and about to be homeless so my anxiety is at an all time high. Thanks!
