Are There Any Online Engineering Programs Still Accepting Applications?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for online engineering programs, research opportunities, internships, or mentorship programs that are still accepting applications.
The only requirements are that the program is:
Online
Engineering-related
Offers financial aid or scholarships
If you know of any reputable programs that are still accepting applications, I’d really appreciate your recommendations.

Overwhelmed by Robotics Resources—Where Should I Actually Start?

Hey everyone,

I’ve decided that I want to seriously learn robotics from the ground up, but I’m honestly stuck on where to begin.

I’ve spent hours searching on YouTube, but there are thousands of videos, courses, and “complete robotics roadmaps.” Everyone teaches things in a different order, and it’s become really confusing. I don’t want to waste months learning the wrong things or skipping important fundamentals.

My goal is to eventually be able to design and build real robotics projects, such as:

  • Robotic arms
  • Autonomous robots
  • Drones (including building one from scratch)
  • Smart camera systems with object detection and tracking
  • AI-powered robots
  • Mobile robots with navigation
  • Robots that use computer vision and sensors

I also want to understand the theory behind robotics, not just copy projects. I’d like to learn topics like:

  • Electronics
  • Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi
  • Programming (Python/C++)
  • Kinematics
  • Dynamics
  • Control systems (PID, etc.)
  • Embedded systems
  • Sensors and actuators
  • CAD and mechanical design
  • Computer vision
  • ROS/ROS2
  • AI and machine learning for robotics

If you had to start from zero today, what roadmap would you follow? What order would you learn these topics in? When would you start building projects, and what beginner, intermediate, and advanced projects would you recommend?

I’d also love recommendations for the best resources—books, websites, YouTube channels, online courses, GitHub repositories, or anything else that helped you.

I’m willing to put in the time—I just want a clear learning path instead of jumping between random tutorials.

Thanks in advance!

Looking for Team Members

Hey everyone!

I started a nonprofit initiative with one goal: making calculus free, fun, and easier to learn for students who don’t have access to good resources. We’re still growing, and I’m looking for a couple of people to join the leadership team.

Right now, I’m looking for:

📢 Outreach Lead

  • Help us connect with students, schools, and other organizations.
  • Find volunteers and spread the word.

📱 Social Media Manager

  • Run our social media pages.
  • Create posts, videos, or graphics to help more people discover the initiative.

You don’t need to be a calculus genius or have tons of experience. If you’re interested in education, enjoy working with people, or just want to help build something that could make a real difference, I’d love to have you on board.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, just leave a comment or send me a DM. I’d be happy to tell you more!

Thanks!

Looking for online science competitions similar to ISEF

Hi everyone! I’m a high school student who has been working on engineering and research projects, and I was really interested in participating in ISEF. Unfortunately, due to some complicated personal circumstances, I won’t be able to compete through the normal ISEF pathway. I was wondering if anyone knows of any online science or engineering competitions that are similar to ISEF, where I can submit an independent research project remotely. I’m especially interested in engineering, physics, mathematics, or computer science, but I’m open to any reputable STEM competitions. If you’ve participated in one yourself or know of any good opportunities, I’d really appreciate your recommendations. Thanks in advance!

How do you actually find remote engineering internships?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been trying to find a remote internship in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, but I’m honestly not sure where to look. Most of the opportunities I find are either on-site, require university enrollment, or seem to be outdated.

If you’ve managed to land a remote engineering internship, I’d really appreciate hearing how you found it. Are there any websites, job boards, companies, research labs, or communities you’d recommend? If you have any links to internships that are still open, that would be amazing as well.

I’d also love to know what the process looks like. Do you mainly apply through LinkedIn, email professors directly, reach out to startups, or use another approach? Any tips or advice that helped you get your first internship would be incredibly helpful.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share their experience!

note : I am a high school student

looking for remote intership

Hi everyone,

I’m a high school student who is passionate about engineering and currently looking for a remote internship or any opportunity to gain real-world experience. I’m especially interested in Mechatronics Engineering and Electrical Engineering, but I’m open to related fields as well.

I’ve been spending a lot of time learning on my own and working on engineering-related projects, and I’d love the chance to contribute to a team, learn from professionals, and build my skills. I know remote internships can be hard to find, especially for students, so I thought I’d ask here.

If anyone knows of a company, startup, professor, research group, or organization offering remote engineering internships—or even has advice on where to look—I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much for your time and any help you can provide!

looking for math tutor / partener

I recently launched a free online math tutoring initiative that provides lessons to students who otherwise wouldn’t have access to quality math education. As we’re growing, I’m looking for someone who loves math and would like to join the team as a tutor. If you enjoy teaching, explaining concepts, and want to use your skills to help students succeed, I’d love to hear from you. This is a volunteer initiative with flexible scheduling, and we’re looking for people who genuinely want to make an impact while being part of a meaningful project. If you’re interested in becoming one of our tutors, feel free to send me a DM, and I’ll be happy to share more about the initiative.

Looking for ambitious high school students to build a global engineering community.

Hi everyone!
I’m a high school student looking to build a community of passionate students from around the world who want to use engineering to solve real-world problems.

The idea is simple: every 2 weeks or every month, our community will vote on a real engineering challenge. We’ll form teams, research the problem, brainstorm solutions, design prototypes, run simulations, and improve our ideas together.

This isn’t another club where people join and disappear. It’s a place where we actually build, create, and innovate.

What we’ll do

Every 2 weeks (or monthly), choose a real-world engineering problem to solve.

Research the challenge and understand why current solutions fall short.

Brainstorm innovative ideas and work together to improve them.

Design prototypes using CAD, simulations, programming, or electronics.

Share progress, receive feedback, and refine our designs.

Publish our work through technical reports, GitHub repositories, or a community website.

Some example challenges
How can we reduce plastic pollution in our oceans?

Can we design a more affordable prosthetic limb?

How can we make speed bumps safer for emergency vehicles?

How can we improve water filtration in developing communities?

Can we create low-cost renewable energy solutions?
