Hi, I’m an aspiring filmmaker from London. I’m currently looking for actors (preferably around late teens to late twenties) to take part in a small-scale short film that I have written and am now looking to bring to life.

favorite episodes?

Hey guys, I just wanted to ask what are some of your favorite episodes from Arthur, particularly from the first 10 seasons? :)

My top five have got to be Buster Makes The Grade, Draw! (big shout out to Mrs MacGrady’s innovative way in this episode of teaching Arthur and the gang to have empathy; although a bit ironic, considering it was for the mean Francine haha), The Chips Are Down, Is There A Doctor In The House and Operation DW. (Honourable mention goes to Dad’s Dessert Dilemma)

the chips are down

Recently, I rewatched the episode “The Chips Are Down” and I have to say, it’s one of my favorite episodes of Arthur. I just thought it has a really nice message about how life is short and even though its humorous and cute that DW and Binky literally think theyre about to die from eating a green chip, it makes them learn how much of a gift life is and to appreciate all of the little things that make it beautiful. Even Principal Haney gets inspired by Binky to do the things he always wanted to do in life (in his case, climbing Mount Everest), who in turn was inspired by DW. I love how Binky, despite his reputation as a “bully” and tough guy, he was able to set that aside and do what he loved and take that opportunity to participate in the ballet performance. Really nice and yeah, it’s one of those episodes that summed up what this show always did, it explored the human experience in a way that could resonate with kids and stick. The themes and messages were brilliant.

^This scene in particular was one that I loved :)

short story feedback

Hey, hope you guys are doing well. I’ve always had a great passion for writing and I love to write these short stories about things to do with the human experience and the little moments that make up our daily lives. I want to share this story I wrote called “Reading List” sorry for the format im going to send it in but I really would like some feedback on it please. It’s not one of my best pieces of work, but I’m interested to see what you guys think. It’s basically about a student at university learning what is behind his friend’s strong academic performances, and yeah.
