Living near a cemetery

I live about 500metres away from a cemetery, the other night my front door opened by its self. Creepy!!! I actually was too tired to care though so I didn’t bother to go back and shut the door 😂.

Checked the cameras and caught nothing. Bit of a shame. Anyway that’s the only weird encounter I’ve had so far.

Does anyone else live near a cemetery? Do spirits actually hang out there? If you live near one have you had any weird encounters. I thought I’d have a lot more tbh 😂

Does anyone else feel like Australia’s discontent has become worse?

I’ve lived in Australia my whole life, and for a while now I’ve felt like we’re becoming a socially disconnected culture. So many people seem to be mentally struggling.

Families aren’t as close because people often have to move interstate or far away just to find work. Housing is so unaffordable that renting has become the norm, but renting rarely feels permanent. People move constantly, so it’s hard to build community or even get to know your neighbours.

The long commutes and work hours leave most people completely drained. I honestly feel like the work/life balance here is really out of whack. Add the cost of living crisis on top, and it feels like everyone is just surviving rather than actually living.

Don’t get me wrong ,Australia has a lot of amazing things, like healthcare and safety. But I do think we’re failing when it comes to genuine human connection. Sometimes it feels like we’re all turning into robots just trying to keep up.

Curious if anyone else feels the same way?
