women's clothing in the 13th century

I have a friend who would like to start doing historical reenactment with our group, and I wanted to know where she could buy inexpensive clothes to start with that still look historically accurate to our time period.

Improve the NPC and events in vallaki

I'm reading the manual for the first time to prepare for the first game sessions and I've gotten to Vallaki's chapter. There are some very interesting characters but in my opinion they have too little information.

  1. Stella and Victor, the manual only says that Stella went mad only because Victor used strong words with her, how can I improve and give a better reason for her madness? Maybe Victor used a spell on her?

  2. Izek, he wants to find his sister, but I don't know how to improve this little plot, if the PCs bring Ireena to the village, Izek would like to have her for himself, but it seems strange to me that he wants to find her without knowing that she is his sister, I don't know what to do whether to leave it like this or find a better reason.

  3. Leo, there are the bones of one of the guards who rebelled against Stradh. I would have liked the PCs to know his story and try to bring him back to life to gain information on Barovia, but how can I do that? I know he was turned into a vampire by Stradh. I was thinking of making him autonomous when Stradh isn't around, and if he confronts him, Stradh can control him.

For the village events, I wanted to modify the Saint's Bones Quest. I was thinking of modifying the plot so that the bones had been destroyed and Stradh's attack was the first time the PCs encountered him. However, I was thinking of adding an interaction if Leo's bones are dropped in the temple. Perhaps his spirit could manifest and speak to the PCs and ask for help, reviving him through a ritual. What do you think?

It's fine if you could help me solve even just one of these points or other part of the village that I didn't mentioned,Thanks.

Medieval dances

I'm reenacting the late 13th century and am curious about how they danced in the Middle Ages. I've done some research on my era but haven't found much. Does anyone have any sources on the types of dances or music they played for dancing?

Are there any sources for infantry formations for 13th-century battles?

Are there any sources for infantry formations for 13th-century battles? My group has always specialized primarily in duels and small skirmishes, but now that we're starting to grow, we wanted to start simulating battles. For now, we do a simple shield wall in line and combat with spears, short weapons, and triangular and kite shields. But are there other types of formations? And how exactly did they fight?

I Need tips to roleplay Madame Eva in curse of stradh

This is my first time running this adventure, and I was thinking of bringing the adventurers to Barovia via the Vistani, who would then take them to Madame Eva, where they would have their cards read. The problem is, I don't quite understand what Eva is supposed to tell them. In the introduction, the Vistani say that the adventurers are the heroes who will save Barovia, but in Madame Eva's paragraph, it says that she wants to free Stradh but isn't asking anyone for help. So I don't know what to do. I was thinking of having the Vistani trick the adventurers by making them think they were chosen by fate to be the heroes, but then Madame Eva explains that it's all false and that they're now imprisoned in Barovia, but that doesn't seem like much to me. Any advice?

Campagna a tema kaiju

I need advice of how to play the campaign for the first time

This is my first time playing this campaign, and I'd like some advice on how to best manage it. I'd considered having the characters enter through the Vistani and take them to Madam Eva, but I don't know what she might say after reading the cards. Any advice on any part of the campaign is welcome.

shield that my father and I built

It's 140cm high, 60cm wide, and 1.5cm thick. We added rope to reinforce the edge, followed by leather. It's a bit heavy 7kg.

Did separate chain mail mittens exist in the end of the XIII century?

I see a lot of people using it but I can't find any sources. I saw separated mail coif but usually the mittens are integrated in the chain mail.

A question, I know that in the 13th century there were separate chain mail hoods and I thought foot soldiers wore them for more protection? Because I have never found sources that it was done.
