What is a nursing habit you have unintentionally brought home?

I have seen some work habits fall into everyday life since I started nursing. I am the one who realizes the little things, I automatically double check things, I will check a room as soon as I walk in.

And sometimes I do not even know I am doing it until someone says something. What nursing habit have you accidentally taken home with you?

At what point did you stop looking things up all the time?

I am quite new to scribing and it looks like I am always looking up definitions, medications, diagnoses or terminology that I have not seen before.

Some days I feel like I am getting somewhere, then I fall a bunch of terms I do not know and I am back to square one.

To the more experienced scribes, did you get to a point where you did not need to look things up as much or is that just part of the job no matter how long you have been doing it?
