Second day kind of sucked

It’s my second day of floor training and I don’t really want to get into why (personal stuff happened halfway through my shift that I couldn’t handle because I didn’t want to be on my phone, but I was aware of it the whole time) but I was really unfocused and missed a lot of important stuff + made some really dumb mistakes on my charts. It was all stuff that yesterday I wouldn’t have let happen. But I had a different trainer today than I did yesterday, and she was much less casual and much more hard on my mistakes. She asked me just now at the end of my shift if I even want this job.

I absolutely do. I’ve wanted to work in medicine since I was in elementary school. Today was just not a great day for me and it was her first impression of me, so she thought I wasn’t motivated enough or good enough to do this job. I had a great time yesterday and was looking forward to doing more today, but it ended up not being a great experience I guess. The only reason I’m making this post is to let someone know who understands. I can tell my friends about it all day, but they’ve never done this work before. My next day of floor training isn’t until next week so hopefully I can get it together before then, and hopefully I won’t have the same trainer again.

(PS: I don’t think it’s bad to have high expectations as a trainer, but she read me wrong and that’s what’s upsetting to me about this. I don’t take failure well in general, and it’s worse when someone who knows what they’re doing in my field considers me not good for this job.)

Medical Scribing in pakistan

hey! i am a BDS qualified Dentist currently practicing in Pakistan, I recently heard of some people I know who are 'medical scribes' and I seem to be very keen and interested in their job nature, I want to switch to medical scribing and I have a good understanding of medical terminologies as i am practicing clinical dentistry ever since I graduated in 2021 but I am not sure how and where to apply for it, I am very good with my typing skills and it would be even amazing if i can be trained for at least a month initially and take it to remote work from there on, PLEASE help me hehehe

At what point did you stop looking things up all the time?

I am quite new to scribing and it looks like I am always looking up definitions, medications, diagnoses or terminology that I have not seen before.

Some days I feel like I am getting somewhere, then I fall a bunch of terms I do not know and I am back to square one.

To the more experienced scribes, did you get to a point where you did not need to look things up as much or is that just part of the job no matter how long you have been doing it?

How long to hear back from Vituity

I applied to a Davis, CA position that opened up and submitted my application a couple days ago, how soon should I hear back from them? Will reaching out help at all? I really need this position or any other scribing I can find.

Scribing as an early high school grad

For context, I am sixteen years old, and I'm currently a college sophomore in community college for Biology. I have a high school diploma, and my cc classes are typically at 6 PM Tuesday - Friday. I am taking 6 college courses (18 credit hours), and three of my courses are online, which is a big plus. I know the hours are demanding for a scribe, but what are the chances I would be able to do scribing at my age, given that my state permits it and that I have a HS diploma and I'm actively pursuing an undergraduate degree?
