Hiking shoes recommendations for the Andean Highlands

I live in Bogotá, Colombia so there are a lot of hiking trails due to the city being surrounded by mountains. I never cared about buying hiking specific clothes so I have been hiking with leggings, whatever sports hoodie I found and for shoes I went with Converse or Nike running shoes. It caused some problems at times but nothing that would spoil the experience (at least for me). But now I am thinking on going on hikes every weekend, so I want to buy durable stuff and I have no idea on what to buy.

Hiking trails here are high-altitude paramo or Andean Highlands, the terrain is notoriously raw, steep, and heavily affected by constant mountain mist and sudden rainstorms. Also, tons of deep, slick mud, wet clay, and slippery, moss-covered rocks. On the other hand, rapid weather changes, it can shift from a scorching sunny morning to a freezing downpour within minutes so my feet are definitely going to face a mix of humidity, deep puddles, and cold mountain winds. Some times I’ll be climbing well past 9,000 feet into the paramo ecosystems so I need something that offers serious ankle support for uneven, rugged paths, but also has incredibly good tread and grip so I don’t slide down a muddy slope.

For what I've been reading, it seems it is better to buy rapid drying shoes and good socks but I am a bit lost on what would be better. Any advise, please?

I want to learn portuguese so I am looking for recommendations about brazilian media I can consume to learn more about the culture and about brazilian portuguese

Do you have recommendations in regards music, series, movies and books?

My first language is Spanish so I can understand a bit and maybe, consuming some brazilian media may be helpful to learn. In regards books, I think I can read them but if they are easy to read now that I am starting and if they are about Brazilian culture, that can be a plus.

Will have my medicine oral challenge tomorrow and I am scared. What is done on the challenge?

I had a delayed reaction to amoxicillin two years ago. I had the flu (a pretty bad one) and the doctor saw I had some white stuff on the back of my throat and prescribed amoxicillin. I took it for 5 days and the next day after I stopped taking it I developed a rash that got worse within the next two days. Long story short, I can't take Penicillin and I am scared now on trying new medicine (even if it's not an antibiotic), new food or getting sick. It came to a point I stopped doing a lot of stuff in my life, even working out, out of fear so I decided to work with a therapist and, after some back and forth, I scheduled a medicine oral challenge my allergologist advised and it is finally tomorrow. They will try cipro and clarithromycin in two different days in order to be sure of what I can take in case I need it. The thing is I am terrified and basically talking myself into not cancelling the appointment because I have never taken those antibiotics before (for what I remember). How are these procedures and what things may work to ease my mind while waiting and tomorrow during the test?

(Please don't share bad experiences or thoughts about the antibiotics they will try, I already read some stuff and it didn't help at all so I am trying to focus on getting through this)

Confused about working with the right coordinate system

I am taking a GIS course and the teacher gave us some homework were the layers provided have different coordinate systems. I am still confused about setting everything with the right coordinate system. I am working with ArcGIS pro so do I have to change the coordinates of the base map or change them layer by layer or it depends on what needs to be done? if it is the later, how can I know when I need to change the coordinate system of the layers and when it is not necessary?

Terrified of antibiotics 2 years after a delayed reaction to Amoxicillin. Need reassurance/advice.

I’m posting this because my medical anxiety is through the roof .

Two years ago, I caught a horrible virus (fever, swollen lymph nodes, sore throat, body aches, headaches). My doctor noticed white patches in my throat and prescribed amoxicillin. I took it for 5 days. The day after finishing it (Day 6), I got tiny red, itchy dots on my arms. By Day 8, they became on itchy body hives (except for my face) and I ended up in the ER. They gave me steroids and antihistamines. Also, even as the rash started to fade days later, I developed leg pain, and tingling sensations in my arms and legs. My lymph nodes stayed swollen for a bit and I lost a lot of weight and doctors thought it was due to stress because I was extremely anxious and barely eating or sleeping. Do, after that I was advised on not taking penicillin again.

A year and a half later, allergists gave me mixed theories, one mentioned SJS (though I had no blisters in my mouth or eyes) or a crazy virus-drug interaction (like Mono + Amoxicillin) and then I went to another that was more inclined on it being an allergy. Either way, I am banned from penicillin. Now my allergist wants me to do an oral challenge with Cipro and another antibiotic familyto clear a safe alternative for me. But I’ve been avoiding the appointment for 4 months out of pure panic. I am terrified that taking any new pill will trigger another nightmare reaction or something worse. I think I took doxycycline or clindamycin years before this with no issues, but because that was before the big reaction, my brain tells me everything is dangerous now and before the reaction I took amoxicillin without issues until that day. Has anyone experienced a delayed reaction and successfully taken other antibiotics years later without issues? Should I do the test?

I am asking this because I don't know why but I'm my country this is not something well known amongst others so I have no one to talk about this and I have been avoiding multiple things in my life out of fear of an infection, even going to the gym. I am already working with a therapist but I know I have to face this fear. I am scared I take the test and then need another antibiotic and something happens or that everything goes well during the test but after days of taking a new antibiotic something similar to what happened 2 years ago happens again.
