Hi! I’m applying to Ontario consecutive BEd programs for Primary/Junior for May 2027 and was wondering if anyone with similar stats could share their experience. I am currently completing my BScN at TMU.
Academics:
cGPA: 2.74/4.33
Roughly ~2.5/4.0 if converted proportionally
Most recent 10 FCE: approximately ~74%
Experience:
- Early childhood/classroom experience with children from infancy to Grade 5
- Experience supporting children with reading, writing and early learning
- Child and adolescent mental-health experience
- Experience in a school program for vulnerable youth
- Youth/community programming
- Summer camp experience
- Experience providing health education to children, youth and families
I’m applying to Trent, Laurier (Waterloo + Brantford), Queen’s, Brock, Nipissing and Lakehead for P/J. I know nobody can predict admissions, but how realistic are my chances with these stats and fairly extensive child/youth experience?
I’m especially curious about Trent and Laurier since experience profiles are part of the application. If anyone has been accepted/rejected recently with a GPA/average similar to mine, I’d really appreciate hearing where you applied and what your experience was like.
Basically just trying to figure out if I have a realistic shot somewhere or if my GPA is going to hold me back 😭
