Anyone else suddenly unable to place an online order? Payment/billing error

For the past week or so, every time I try to check out I get an error message: “Please review your payment and billing details. If this issue persists, Contact Us for support.”

I called Concierge last week and they told me it was most likely a banking issue, though I’ve never had a problem ordering. I’ve always used the same card/billing details. I tried an alternative card and I even tried Apply Pay. I place 1-2 online orders a month and would consider myself a very loyal customer. I have no reason to think my account would be flagged.

I called again today. There was nothing they could to do resolve the issue and they suggested that I shop in-store - which is 2 hours away. I pushed for more clarity and resolution. Ultimately the concierge escalated this to their internal team for review and I was provided a case number.

Has anyone experienced this and figured out what was causing it? I’m particularly curious if anyone has discovered there was some sort of account restriction on Aritzia’s end, or if there is a broader checkout issue happening right now.

Thank you!

Advise on $50k credit card debt

Hi everyone,

Looking for advise on the smartest way to tackle my $50k in credit card debt.

I'm 34, self employed and co-own a business. My salary just increased from $96k to $110k and my credit score is around 680. My spouse earns ~$105k.

All 3 of my credit cards are with RBC. Of the $50k, ~$25k is at 20.99% interest, $15k is at 20.99%, and $10k is on a low-interest card that's currently at 0.99% until next May, then it goes to 12%. The debt has accumulated over the years. I've never missed a payment and I generally pay off what I spend each month, but the stale balances are hard to make a dent in because of the interest.

I have a meeting with an RBC advisor with the hope of moving my higher-interest balances and onto my low-interest card which would require a limit increase. I'm OK with reducing the limits on the higher interest cards.

Are there other options? If you were in my position, would you pursue this or consider something else either with RBC or my mortgage provider? I am hoping to keep this as simple as possible.

Any advise would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
