In the spirit of 250 years of the United States, what are your favorite American protest songs?

Old or new, although I'm more specifically interested in modern songs. I'm trying to create a playlist for July 4 and want to be both subversive and patriotic, as protest is as American as Apple pie!

Kennyhoopla started me off on this rabbit hole with his song New America//, would love to hear the community's thoughts.

For everyone who is always looking for stuff to do - free concert tickets!

Pirate Cat Radio (91.1 FM in Los Gatos and 101.9 FM in Santa Cruz, or online at www.kpcr.org) has a bunch of tickets to give away to upcoming concerts in the bay area!
