Improvised weapon build?

Is it possible to build a character that is functional with improvised weapons beyond like lvl 2?

I had the thought of a character who is a mostly normal guy who managed to kill a goblin with a frying pan and has just kept that as his weapon because it worked once and it is multi purpose.

Working on a character for kingmaker

I am going to be a player in a 1E kingmaker game in the near future. I am usually my groups DM so it will be my first time as a PC in a while. I am just looking for any input on what I have come up with. Character idea is a Neutral Cleric of Hanspur with a focus on necromancy.

Just putting this out to see if anyone has any advice for a necromancy cleric or fun stories from their own Kingmaker game? Spoilers are not a problem, I have run the campaign before so just looking for cool stories and whatnot.

Edit: so to clarify, we have established that necromancy is evil rules as written, thank you everyone. It wasn’t quite the sharing of fun kingmaker stories I was looking for but it has certainly been educational.
