Anything we can do to help this little one?

Been seeing the baby around for a couple days now, this is the first time I've seen an adult with them, so I'm glad they're not abandoned.

Doesn't move far from our work's delivery entrance, seems to be panting a lot- if you get close (not looming over them) they don't seem to move away. I'm going to assume they're quite sick.

Anything we could do to help them? Or would it be advisable to let nature take it's course?

Short update:

spoken to one of our greenkeepers who has looked after sick birds in the past. Says that there's likely not much chance for the little fellow, but he'll take them to a hospital in the morning. He doesn't seem to move a great deal, so should be easy enough to catch.

Mother was grooming them when I saw them last. It's sweet that despite everything, mama is still trying to take care of them.

Glad to have made such a popular spot for the local birds

Withan added squirrel, feeding on the peanuts I give to the crows

Started just as a way to feed the birds at work, but has turned into a little bit of therapy for me. My face absolutely lit up earlier when a pair of Long-Tailed tits came by the feeder.

Thinking about getting myself a better camera, but can't really justify the expense. Hope you can enjoy the photos at least a small amount of the joy it brings me to sit here and watch.

Maybe a robin?

Sorry that I don't have any better photos, this little cutie is incredibly skittish.

We've been calling them the robin, but I'm starting to feel like that's wrong. Anyone more knowledgeable would be appreciated<3

Been feeding the birds at work, these two have become regulars

Don't worry, the great tit (I think?) got some food after this pair of woodpeckers were done.

Been feeding them suet balls, peanut butter nuggets (the all round favourite!) and a seedbell. Had to ziptie all of them in place, because a murder kept tearing them down!

I have reached an amicable agreement with the crows now- they cleanup any mess created by the rest of the birds, and I scatter out some extra peanuts for them for their services.
