Reservation Keeps Getting Canceled by Lufthansa - I’m supposed to fly tomorrow
I am on my second phone call with Lufthansa to discover that they’ve canceled my flight because they didn’t “charge my card” for a flight change that I made a month ago ahead of my international flight that should be taking place tomorrow. I am stressed TF out and incredibly confused and frustrated because I have no idea what is going on. Seeking any insights from anyone that’s had similar experiences so that I can ensure my reservations holds for me to be able to fly tomorrow.
Context:
I’m in Germany from the US. I called and updated my return flight to be a week later so I could explore Poland.
My flight details suddenly disappeared from the app, so I called Lufthansa to find out my flight details so i could plan appropriately. Im told that the person who made the changes when I last called didn’t process my card, so my reservation was cancelled. The customer service agent reinstated my flight and re-added my seat selection. I gave him my card info and everything, so I assumed it is all worked out.
Fast forward 3ish days. It happens again. Details disappear. I wait on hold an hour to be told the payment wasn’t processed so it was cancelled. I am beyond frustrated at this point, I fly tomorrow. Agent puts me on hold to reprocess payment and reinstate flight - hangs up on me while I’m on hold. I see my flight details again (no seat selection), but I can’t check-in because it can’t find my reservation.
So I am now, ONCE AGAIN FOR A THIRD TIME, waiting on hold because Lufthansa can’t process a payment correctly???
I’m about to lose it. Never would I ever have imagined that having a company take my money would be this difficult.
Does ANYONE have any experience with this and know what I should do to ensure that I’m not left high and dry tomorrow at the airport?
Edit: I failed to add, the cards are not declining - they’re just not being processed. All cards have more than enough to cover the $30 flight change fee and I’ve gotten no notices of a card being declined from my bank.
