How did my 220k TikTok followers suddenly turn into 500 view uploads overnight?

I genuinely feel like my account got silently killed by the TikTok algorithm.

I have around 220k TikTok followers from posting football edits and reactions. For over a year my videos would easily land on the For You Page and average anywhere between 40k to 200k views.

Now suddenly TikTok not pushing my videos at all.

Last 12 uploads all stopped between 400 to 900 views. Some literally got stuck at 0 views for almost an hour before barely moving.

What confuses me is my engagement doesn’t even look terrible. Watch time is decent, comments are normal, and followers are still active when they actually see the posts.

But it feels like TikTok not showing my videos to followers OR FYP anymore.

I checked TikTok account status and there’s no major warning besides one old “low quality content” notice.

Anybody else with bigger TikTok followers counts dealing with this lately? Starting to wonder if older accounts just get buried after a while.

Anyone else spend hours editing a YouTube video then hate it after uploading ?

This keeps happening to me lately. I’ll spend days editing a YouTube video, feel confident while exporting it, then after uploading suddenly everything looks bad. The pacing feels off, the jokes sound awkward, and I start comparing it to bigger creators instantly.

Sometimes I’ll even rewatch certain parts and start regretting small things nobody else probably notices. Then I end up checking analytics every few minutes hoping the views somehow confirm the video is actually good. The worst part is that while editing, the video feels completely fine, but once it goes public my brain suddenly treats it differently.

I’m curious if other YouTube creators deal with this same post upload regret or if confidence eventually improves after uploading consistently for years. Does this feeling ever fully go away or is overthinking just part of being a creator online now?

My YouTube channel reached 100k subscribers but growth feels slower than ever ?

I honestly thought hitting 100k subscribers on YouTube would make future growth easier, but the opposite happened for me. New uploads still fluctuate heavily and some videos perform worse now than they did when the channel was much smaller. It feels like expectations become way higher once a channel grows, and average videos stop getting pushed. Did anyone else expect growth to become easier after hitting bigger milestones and end up disappointed?

Instagram adding new features nobody asked for while the core platform is completely broken for creators

New stickers. New fonts. New broadcast channel updates. New collab features.

Cool.

Meanwhile accounts are getting disabled without reason. Human verification loops are trapping real users for weeks. Organic reach is at an all time low. Support is entirely automated with zero real help available.

They are decorating a house that is on fire.

Every update announcement feels like a distraction from the fact that the basic experience for creators is getting worse every single year.

Real creators do not need more stickers. They need reach that reflects their effort. They need actual human support when something goes wrong. They need a platform that does not randomly penalize accounts for no reason.

But that would cost Instagram money instead of making them money.

So we get stickers.

What is the one thing you wish Instagram would actually fix instead of releasing new features nobody uses?

Instagram's human verification loop is broken and it is trapping real users while bots run free

Got stuck in the human verification loop last week.

Complete the video selfie. Wait 24 hours. Get told it did not work. Repeat. Over and over.

Meanwhile go on any explore page and bots are everywhere. Comment sections full of fake accounts. Spam DMs from profiles that clearly do not belong to real people.

So the bots are fine. But real users with years of history on the platform cannot get back into their own accounts because a broken verification system keeps rejecting them.

I spent 11 days trying to get back in. Missed brand deals. Lost momentum. Zero support from Instagram.

Finally got access back and still have no idea what actually fixed it.

This is not a small bug. This is a fundamental failure of a system that is supposed to protect users but is actively punishing them instead.

How is this still not fixed in 2026?

Why do TikTok videos with 0 views make you feel like the app is broken?

The weirdest part about getting 0 views is that it doesn’t even give you feedback to improve anything. At least low views tell you the video reached someone. But when a post stays at 0, it honestly feels like TikTok never even put it in front of real people. I’ve deleted and reposted videos before and suddenly they started getting traction, which makes the whole thing even more confusing. Does anyone else think TikTok glitches more than people admit?

Would most YouTube creators be happier with smaller audiences ?

A lot of creators chase massive growth on YouTube, but bigger audiences also seem to bring more pressure, criticism, stress, and expectations. Sometimes smaller creators actually look like they enjoy the process more because there’s less at stake every upload. Do you think most creators would genuinely be happier staying smaller with loyal viewers, or does everyone eventually want the biggest audience possible once growth starts happening?

Is YouTube turning creators into full time algorithm chasers ?

Feels like a lot of creators spend almost as much time studying analytics, testing thumbnails, and predicting the algorithm as they do actually making videos. At some point it starts feeling like the content comes second and optimization comes first. Do you think YouTube now rewards people who understand the system better than people who are simply creative?

Does TikTok Push Creators Toward Copying Successful Formats Instead of Taking Creative Risks?

It feels like once a certain style of TikTok video starts performing well, everyone begins copying the same structure because experimenting becomes risky. Trying something different can easily hurt reach, while familiar formats usually feel safer for growth. Over time it creates this cycle where creators repeat what already works instead of testing new ideas. The platform still rewards creativity sometimes, but it also feels like the algorithm quietly trains people to avoid taking risks if they care about performance.

Would most YouTube creators survive without the algorithm ?

If YouTube stopped recommending videos tomorrow and creators could only rely on people manually searching or returning on their own, how many channels do you think would actually survive? Feels like a huge part of growth now depends on the algorithm deciding who gets visibility. Do you think most creators have built real loyal audiences, or are many channels more dependent on recommendation systems than they realize?

Does TikTok Reward People Who Trigger Debate in the Comments More Than People Who Simply Make Good Content?

It feels like some creators intentionally post exaggerated opinions or half correct takes because they know arguments in the comments boost engagement. Even when people disagree heavily, the video keeps getting pushed because everyone is reacting to it. Meanwhile genuinely good or informative content sometimes gets ignored simply because there’s nothing to debate about. Makes me wonder if TikTok indirectly encourages creators to prioritize controversy and reactions over quality just because it keeps engagement high.

Has TikTok Made People More Interested in Fast Entertainment Than Content With Real Depth or Value?

Scrolling through TikTok now feels like everything is optimized for instant reactions instead of lasting impact. Quick jokes, drama clips, and rapid edits usually dominate attention while slower or more thoughtful content struggles to hold viewers. It’s not that deeper content disappeared completely, but it definitely feels harder for it to compete in such a fast moving feed. Makes me wonder if the platform has changed audience expectations so much that people now prefer constant stimulation over content that actually takes time to absorb.

Would most creators still upload if views were hidden forever?

Imagine YouTube removed public view counts completely and nobody could see how many views a video got. Do you think creators would still post the same way they do now, or would a lot of people lose motivation instantly? Curious whether most creators are driven more by the creative side or by visible numbers and validation from the platform and audience

Are YouTube creators becoming too fake to stay successful

Sometimes it feels like creators can’t act naturally anymore because everything has to be optimized for views, retention, and audience reaction. The exaggerated reactions, forced energy, fake drama, emotional thumbnails, it all starts looking more like performance than real personality. Do you think YouTube is slowly rewarding creators who feel less genuine, or is authenticity still what actually keeps audiences loyal long term

I’ve been trying to stay consistent within one niche, but sometimes I feel like experimenting with different types of content could help reach a wider audience. The problem is whenever I switch things up, performance drops, which makes it seem like TikTok prefers clearly defined niches. At the same time, sticking to one style can feel limiting over time. It’s hard to tell whether growth comes from consistency or smart experimentation. Curious how others balance this without hurting their reach.

My Instagram growth hasn’t stopped, but it feels way slower than before even though I’m posting more consistently now. Earlier, even average posts would bring in decent reach, but now it takes a lot more effort to get similar results.

I’m not sure if this is just part of the growth cycle or if I need to switch something up in my content strategy. Has anyone here gone through a phase where growth just slowed down like this? Did you change your approach or just stay consistent until it picked up again?

Trying to figure out the real earning difference between long videos and YouTube Shorts. Shorts bring quick views but revenue per view feels extremely low, while long videos take more effort but seem more stable for income. For those monetized already, which format actually pays better in the long run? Are you seeing better RPM from long videos or finding ways to scale income through shorts volume? Curious how people are balancing time vs actual earnings here

Lately it feels like people scroll, watch, and move on without saying anything. Views might be there, but the comments section stays quiet, even on posts that seem engaging. Not sure if this is just a shift in how people use Instagram or something related to content style. Curious if others are noticing the same thing and what kind of posts actually get people to comment now.

Ever tried updating a title a few hours or days after posting and noticed any difference? Some people tweak wording, others try a completely new angle. Curious what you’ve tested on your YouTube videos, what changed, and whether it actually moved the needle for you.
