Just tell me the good, bad, and ugly about basic training please. I’m tired of being afraid and want to commit to joining to better my life. Don’t hold back.
How well does the army national guard train you for the MOS that you select? Once complete with AIT would one feel confident in what is it their doing? Or would you still feel lost and uncertain of almost everything that it is you are doing?
Just as the title says I’ve decided to finally enlist in the national guard. I’m looking for the best ways even the most obvious advice as to how I can prepare and get as ready as I can within the next 2 months. Any advice is appreciated, thank you.
Hey everyone! I’m 22 years old and recently got married to my girlfriend (now wife) and we have a 2 year old daughter together. I know I started young.
Anyways I want a better life for them and I strive for an education and a good career in the future. What’s living on an Air Force base like? Joining seems like it would give me a massive advantage everywhere I want in my personal life, but I would never take my family someplace that won’t be good for them. Any answers/advice/guidance is appreciated, thank you!
Hey everyone! I’m 23 years old and currently going to college for criminal Justice. I’m located in North Jersey and I’m wanting to know if going for a dispatcher job is a good way to get my foot in the door to potentially becoming an officer.
I know the obvious answer may be yes but I just wanted some feedback to see if maybe there are better options or if this one is worth taking. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
I’m thinking about joining the military, specifically the Air Force, because I feel like I need a fresh start.
I’m 23 years old and currently living at home with my parents, my girlfriend, and my 2-year-old daughter. We had our child young, and now I’m trying to build a better life for them. I want more for my family—I want to buy a home one day, have a steady and honest career, and give my daughter the best life I possibly can.
Right now I work for my town in DPW and I don’t have any education past high school. I’ve recently started taking my finances more seriously and trying to move in the right direction.
At this point, I’m not sure what the best move is. I’m debating between going active duty and possibly bringing my family with me if that’s allowed, or just going part-time.
If anyone has experience with this, I’d really appreciate any pros and cons of both options. Thank you.
