What's the deal with Elowen?
I really, really like the name Elowen, and have my entire pregnancy. It means "elm tree" and has the exact rhythm to it that I've been looking for. Many people in the what to expect community seem to think that it's really popular, though, even though the name hasn't even cracked the top 200, and I haven't met any Elowens. Also, if it matters, we weren't looking to choose the nickname Elle/Ellie, but prefer Winnie.
Because of all the stigma around it being "trendy", I'm hesitant to use it, but I just really like it a lot. I think it might be a name that is put on a lot of lists but isn't actually used as often as people think. I could be wrong, though. Should I use it or skip it?
