In a new rental and need two baby gates for top and bottom of stairs. The issue is that one side of the stairway is glass with a metal post that’s 1.5” wide. I am not confident a pressure mounted gate will hold in place with that metal post for our toddler. The distance between the wall and post is 36.5”. Has anyone had this similar situation? What did you do? Any suggestions appreciated. Ps; gate also needs a cat door. TIA
