Negative Probiotic symptoms - stop or wait it out?

When I am able to see my GI specialist again, I will ask her, but im the meantime, I am curious about what advice yall have.

I took a probiotic for the first time yesterday with dinner. My GI specialist had said she thinks they would be helpful for me. But last night (starting at like 2 am) I was waking up every hour with bad diarrhea. I didn't puke, so I was confident it wasn't a bug (I puke easily when sick). I am still in the diagnosis period, but its very likely IBS-M.

My question is, do i keep taking the probiotic? Will my body adjust and it will balance out? Or is this a sign that this is not what my body needs after all. I can also try different types of probiotics, obviously. I'd rather not spend 2 weeks with constant diarrhea. But if it's likely just going to be a few days, I will try again.

Thanks, fam.

The prep was by far the worst part, and that includes me waking up for it!

Id posted last night about how I had to cancel because I was puking up all the prep and seeing blood, but in the morning, the doctors office called and said they would still like to try and see how it goes. They found the source of the bleeding (which was one of the reasons for doing an endoscopy) and its just a tear in my lower esophagus. They prescribed me meds to take for a few months, and it should heal!

I was actually awake for pretty much the whole colonoscopy. I have never been under anesthetic and had actually originally asked if I could not use it, but they recommended otherwise. I stayed asleep through the endoscopy (which im glad about), but woke up after once they'd started the colonoscopy. It was totally fine! It just felt slightly crampy. I actually really liked seeing the big screen showing what was happening, and i asked questions, and my doctor just chatted. It was fun!(?)

The prep was 1000% the worst part. I hope the biopsies come back normal just so I dont have to do that anytime soon. I do not think it would be possible for me to do that without puking many times.

Puked Kleanlyte and have one more bottle at 4 am (its 10:30pm rn)

Im not surprised in the slightest. Id told my doctor that if puking is something that can happen during prep, it WILL happen to me. I have an incredibly week stomach. They gave me the Kleanlyte cause they hoped the lower quantity would be easier.. but i puked after an hour and a half. Better than I expected, honestly. I fought it the whole time.

Can I still come back from it? It had started clearing my stool, but I am definitely not near clear enough. Should I still get up at 4 and try, or just call in and wait whatever amount of months I need to wait to try again (tho I have no idea how I could ever not puke).

I have gravol that I will take before the next batch.

I think theres maybe a 2% chance i dont puke. I am going to try a little slower and maybe dilute it with carbonated water since that typically helped soothe my stomach?

UPDATE: Accepting failure after puking blood. I have no idea if there's a world in which it is possible for me to drink stuff like that. Part of me hopes they'd still do the endoscopy, but i have a feeling they won't want to do that either with the bloody puke situation.
