Week 70 - Updates, data & Photos

The Last Year of Data

Graph Data - Vert axis is KG

December 2024 -> August 2026 (Those are my long shorts)

Hello Hello Hello,

70 weeks of injections and lots of progress, decided to show my face this time

Background: SW: 138.7kg CW:81.9kg, Lost 56.9kg 41% of starting weight using a dose up to 7.5mg.

My process: I added interventions as I felt more motivated, so I started with Mounjaro and weight tracking, added walking more each day, added calorie tracking, I then added some body weight strength training, then traditional resistance training, then a couch to 10k programme, then marathon training and now most recently mobility training as part of strength training.

Recent Update: I think I mentioned last time I started to titrate down, I'm currently on a 6.25mg dose, with an aim to get down to 5mg in the next month. I started a marathon training block and proceeded to injure my knee. I'm getting quite close to my extended goal of 80kg, so happy to continue trying to lose while I titrate down.

Any questions about anything, happy to answer

Update - Month 15 - Progress while tapering

This table is getting too large

Hi Folks,

Background

I'm just finishing up 15 months of Mounjaro, I'm 40 years old, 185 cm tall and clocking in at 83.65 kg as of this morning and my scale reckons that I have a BMI of 24.4. I'm basically at my stretch goal of 80 kg (Started at 138.7 kg).

Approach

As for medication usage, I think I've been up to 7.5mg and I've tapered down to 6.75 (Counting clicks)

As for how I've done it, I've added interventions as I've needed them as follows

Started medication + regular walking + tracking caloric intake + strength training + running

I'm active about 6 days a week

I weigh myself every morning and most keep an eye on where my daily weight is versus trend, below trend is good, above trend requires me to consider what I'm doing or the cause such as holiday's, meals with friends, parties and then I get back on the horse.

June/July Update:

Weight is still headed down albeit slower, mainly because I've been on holiday, though it was a very active holiday. I'm starting injecting in other areas of subcutaneous fat because the stuff on the front of my abs isn't great and I've had a few issues with it recently.

I've grown my running, graduated couch to 5k and still running further, did a couple of 5 mile runs at the week, however the knees are starting to protest.

Always happy to answer any questions

14 Month Update - Target Achieved

Hello fellow GLP-1 users and apologies as this will be a long one.

Today was a big day, I achieved my primary goal today; 85KG and a normal BMI!!
I've been sitting back reflecting on the path to get here 38.7% of my initial weight lost.

I'll start with Mounjaro definitely made it easier, so that was appreciated, but I've also added a number of interventions along the way. I've learned to forgive myself and get back up when I fall down.

April 2025: I started taking the medication, but that was my first intervention and I might have increased my walking. I remember seeing progress was somewhat addictive and as you can see from my chart, my body has been pretty compliant, few plateaus.

May 2025: Increased my walking a lot and started tracking my calories using MFP which was a terrible experience.

June 2025: Started doing body weight resistance training multiple times a week.

September 2025: Moved to resistance training in a gym and started adding technology to do more activity tracking.

December 2025: Moved to Macrofactor for tracking kcals, steps, and tracking weight. Its not a cheap app, but I like having things in one place as much as possible. It also helped me estimate how many calories I was using on average.

May 2026: I decided to learn to run using a couch to 5k and have completed all the runs through week 6 on the first try, not always easy.

Next steps - My interventions that I've built up need to stay, however I'm going titrate down from 7.5mg, I'll start that in July, I'll probably still try to drop a bit of weight, down to 80 KGish

I'd say be kind to yourself, and each time you fail, or you don't see a number you like just try to do better.

Good Luck to you all :)

My 13 months of Mounjaro - Pretty great success

Hope this finds you all smashing your goals. I think my spreadsheet snip getting a bit too big to post the entire thing.

Progress: Still on 7.5mg 138.7KG ->87.1KG = 51.6 KG down. My scale says I'm sub 20% BF, I think its being a bit too friendly.

What's New: I've taken up a couch to 5k because I've never been good at running, so decided to actually work at it. I've added it to my every other day gym rotation and daily walks, and only a bit over a week into it, so we'll see how the body holds up.

My list of interventions:
Calorie Tracking - Currently eating about 1850 KCAL per day
Gym Routine - Strength Training every other day for 45mins per visit
Cardio/Walking - Walk 5-7 days a week and running doing Couch to 5k 3x a week Dietary approach - I'm aiming to get a minimum of 1.6g per KG of LBM of protein, I don't count calories from fresh fruit and other than that I tend to have consistent meals for breakfast and lunch.
Weight tracking - I weigh myself every morning and my Tuesday weigh in is tracked.

I'm hoping to make an attempt to come off the medication around 80 KG, we'll see

Any questions, let me know.
