The DXP4800 Pro has a lighting deal on Amazon right now (no regrets) and I'm planning to move my existing drives over from my DXP2800.

Currently running 2x 8TB Seagate Ironwolf in RAID 1 on the 2800. The plan is to pull both drives and drop them into the 4800 Pro.

Has anyone done a drive migration between DXP models? Specifically wondering:

• Will the 4800 Pro recognize and import the existing RAID 1 array automatically, or will it treat the drives as new and want to initialize them?
• Is there anything I should do before swapping to avoid losing the volume?
• Any gotchas I should know about?

I do plan on backing up the important stuff before I touch anything, but backup and restore on 8TB takes a lot longer than a clean hot swap, so if migration is known to work reliably I'd love to know before I commit to the longer route.

Appreciate any experience people have with this.
