I posted two months ago asking about whether my reaction to electrolysis was normal. Well, it was not. I still have scars from that session, and previous sessions from the same tech, months later, even though I followed all the after care suggestions. I talked to her about it, and next session she lowered the settings and just plucked me.

I was very disappointed and thought of giving up on electrolysis, but l decided to try another technician. Same settings, same pain, no feeling of plucking and no severe reactions apart from a tiny bump for 2-3 days. I am once again excited and hopeful!

So please, if you do your best with aftercare and still get pimples and scars, before giving up on electrolysis, try another technician!
