I feel so good about this season

Everything this off-season has made me so confident about this year for some reason, I really feel like we're going to do something nobody expects...I really hope we extend MPJ too, I think he's meant to be here, but I've never been more excited to watch a season before

I’m building a tool that tries to keep company documentation from going stale

One thing that’s always bothered me about internal documentation is that it starts becoming outdated almost as soon as someone writes it.

A decision changes in Slack, some behavior changes in a PR, a support issue uncovers something new, and now somebody has to remember that there’s a doc somewhere that should probably be updated; I've been building a tool to try and solve this!

In comes Folklore, with the idea being to learn from the work already happening across things like Slack, GitHub, tickets, existing docs, etc, and use that to continuously maintain a company knowledge base. We'd automatically handle making things like, onboarding docs, public wikis, post mortems, and a bunch of other common documentation types

I also don’t think everyone should get the exact same documentation. An engineer, support person, and executive might all care about the same change for completely different reasons; part of what we’re working on is making that knowledge audience-aware and notifying the relevant people when something changes that they should actually know about.

Still pretty early, but that’s the core idea. I'd love to hear peoples thoughts prior to our beta launch! You can check it out here:

Where's the public advocacy for walkability on Long Island?

Maybe I'm just not aware of this, but it doesn't seem like there are any outspoken or major public advocates towards increasing walkability on the island. I'm wondering, why? It is essentially impossible to live here without a car, especially in Suffolk, but it doesn't seem like there is any major public discourse around this. Are there any grassroots movements, organizations, or political groups that are working towards gaining public support behind infrastructural improvements surrounding this?
