So there's a whole bunch of new missions that not many people know about. They pay out quite a bit in auec and council scrip. In about 2 hours of grind you can get a mission that pays 400k and it can be done with two fighters. To find out what missions to take on SCMDB under REWARD SCOPE select "SHIPCOMBAT_HEADHUNTERS". Beginning missions give 500 to 1000 rep so it only takes about 2 hours of grind (max, prob less) to get to Rank III.

At even higher ranks there are even better missions that pay 603k and 1 million. Some pay less but have a chance of spawning ace combat pilots. Enjoy I guess. Feel free to use non-meta ships and watch out for harbinger torps.
