Large clump during lyemaster batching

Hello,

this is my third time making a master batch lye solution each time. I have used 400 g of lye and 800 g of water for a 33% concentrated lye solution.

The previous two times I have made a master batch of lye. I have used frozen water inside the container and had no issues.

This time I did the same steps and noticed a large chunk of presumably light crystals that precipitated.

What should I do to fix this?

Shea butter has developed powder

I opened a bag of shea butter that had been stored away for a few months since I haven't made soap in a while. When I opened it, I noticed there was a lot of powder throughout it.

Does anyone know what this could be?

It doesn't smell rancid or off, so I'm not sure if it's still okay to use.

I had seen some ants a long time ago but never noticed them taking residence in the shea butter or anything.

I think if it were ants it would be humid and stinky.

Gracias!

[Product Request] what can help my redness?

I occasionally get acne, but only on my chin. Right now I have two active spots there, but the rest of the area is just persistent redness. The redness isn't painful, hot, or inflamed. The only time my chin becomes itchy is when a new pimple is forming.

My main question is: what products or treatments are effective for reducing this redness? I already spent about $1,500 on ADVATx laser treatments, but unfortunately I didn't see much improvement.

I'm only using dr. Althea 345 cream and ceravee soap for babies (routine for about a year now) and about once a week 10% or 15% azaleic acid and it helped with my acne a lot but not with the rosacea

Finally made a batch that behaved well during mixing and while in the mold, smells good and looks cute.
