Can I fish at Odo Park? Or better place?

Staying near Akasaka Subway Station and looking for somewhere accessible by public transport for a few hours of quiet fishing. I have my own gear. Thanks!

Local food recs in Fukuoka and Karatsu for September

We're coming from Sapporo, where we can get good international food, so I'm mostly looking for hidden local gems of Japanese cuisine. Going with my gf for 5 days. I think we're staying in the Shingu district. I speak conversational Japanese; she's native. A cafe rec for Karatsu would also be welcome. And a ramen place in Fukuoka. We eat everything, although she's not a drinker.

This is what I have so far, based on recs from this sub and elsewhere

  • Bancho (Fukuoka Hakata: Chicken)

  • Hanamidori (mizutaki chicken)

  • Kisuitei (seafood teishoku)

  • Unagidokoro Yaamichi うなぎ処 山道 (eel)

  • Udon-hei うどん平 *(udon)

  • Gyozaya Ninoni (gyoza)
