Am I doing something wrong?
Hello everyone,
I bought the Ozlo Sleepbuds recently because my girlfriend snores a lot (and loudly). I really loved the concept of falling asleep to pleasant and relaxing background sounds.
However, after testing them for a few nights, I'm incredibly disappointed and starting to wonder if I'm missing something, or if this is just how the product is.
- The noise masking is useless at normal volumes: To actually drown out or mask the snoring, I am forced to crank the volume up to at least 70% or 80%. At that level, the white/brown noise becomes way too loud and aggressive.
- Zero passive isolation: When I put them in without any sound playing, it literally feels like I’m wearing nothing. Honestly, cheap Quies foam earplugs do a significantly better job at blocking the physical sound of snoring. (And yes, I tried switching to the smaller silicone tips to get a better seal, but it didn't change anything).
Am I using them wrong, or is this just a known limitation of the product? If you need an 80% volume blast to hide loud snoring, I don't really see the point of a $250+ device. For those who have been disappointed by the Ozlo for loud snoring, would the Soundcore Sleep A30 be a better alternative? I know they have ANC, but I've seen mixed reviews on whether their ANC is actually a gimmick or helpful for this specific issue.
Thanks for your help and feedback! 🙏🏼
