(FFAK - Ancient Waters) Love this part of the song.
This was just for fun. The filter makes me look like a damn Rockstar 🤣🤣

As the video explains. I can't get the game to work despite doing everything I can think of. It's the only game i've ever encountered with a problem launching.
Promise I won't be posting again for a while, boys. So let me send it off with this video. I made hoarse as shit while I was still trying to get some form of practice in before recording/rehersal. Enjoy!
Remember, learning to scream is supposed to be fun! We make stupid noises and sound silly trying to learn all this shit. Stop putting others down. We all start somewhere. If someone needs advice, give it. Don't just downvote. Remember, at the end of the day...we're a community of vocalists who are all following their passions. We're trying to perfect our arts and create a skill that very few (in regard to the population) know how to do.
Thanks to everyone who's helped me recently. I'll probably be back with my band's new song, "Hell," when we release it 😁
Until then, follow my boys anywhere you find music: "New Altar." And, if you want, follow us on Facebook! We're always posting funny, metal related stuff.
Ok, so i'm naturally a FC vocalist. Over the past bit at work, i've been developing this scream so I can still practice without doing whispers (and jam along to my music).
My question? Wtf am I doing? Also, I can only consistently pull it off at work. I assume that's something to do with muscle memory...
But I want to refine this and add it to my repitoire. I know it sounds like shit in its current form, but I really feel this could be the foundation for a solid scream.
Anyone got any ideas?
Halp pls
Hey guys, long time sub of the community. I've posted some shit, and ya'll have enjoyed it for the most part. Regardless, i'm in a band now. Little nervous because we're about to be getting gigs, and I lose full support of my scream after going through our set twice.
Like, I can still scream, but it just doesn't sound as robust and supported. I even went to a local show with my band the other day, and it was great. I got the mic and got to meet all the local bands/vocalists who are excited to tour with us... but man, those guys seemed incredible.
I mean, I'd recorded for 2 hours that day, and then went to the show... but after it, my voice was hoarse. People in the audience were hyping me up, and I was just going full force the whole time. Point being, I over did it. And I need to learn how to not do that and treat my voice like an instrument now that it's not just a passion and gimmick that I could do.
What can you guys recommend for using less force and projection but still achieving the same effect? My screams are pretty decent, i'm not fucking insanity tho. I want to keep them at the level i've reached while still being able to have time to rest and recover between shows/rehearsal and the like.
I use false chord/hybrid/tunnels/gutturals all that fun shit. But the technique and ways i've learned it, everyone seems to tell me is much louder than typical vocalists? I never used a mic, despite owning one... and my current band said they had to turn the volume tf up for their old vocalist and now have to lower it tf down for me.
I'm just lead to believe therein lies my problem. It could also have to do with me not having fully formed or strengthened certain muscles? Maybe the more and more I do shows, i'll build a tolerance? Idfk. But I don't want to ruin my voice, and this shit is starting to pick up faster than I expected 😅
As an elder emo who just loved core music growing up, can ya'll help me? Recording is easy, but live shows scare me. Our set isn't too long, 6 songs, and I can definitely do it (as long as I eat beforehand or my scream sounds like shit and I can get hiccups...NEVER SCREAM ON AN EMPTY STOMACH. Words of wisdom.) But, we're beginning to make more music, and the set length is going to grow.
I've attempted learning a new technique, and it does work and lets me scream for longer... but it's just lacking the oomph and crispness of my full diaphragm engagement 😣
Are there any fellow vocalists on here who can help me?
I'd post a demo, but I'm sleepy, and my voice is still a little hoarse, so instead, here's a wall of text 🙃
