Children of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet? (Full Vocal Cover). This track is a massive challenge for breath management and stamina!

You will know judgement, you will know suffering.

Need help in finding what type of distortion this is

I don't know a whole lot about screaming or distortion, so excuse me if I mess up some terminologies, but in this song, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kO2cnheNZE0 , at around 2:21/2:22 and 2:49/2:50, there's a sort of distortion or scream that the singer does and I can't tell whether it's some type of false chord or fry scream or some other type of distortion.

I'd really appreciate some help; would like to learn how to do something like that safely.

Why is everyone so scared of vocal damage?

Like, you're gonna notice if it comes even close to happening. Just play around with shit till you find something healthy that sounds good.

At least, that's what I'm trying to do.

Edit; I'm obviously wrong

Not gonna delete though some good info in the comments

Why do I sound different?

Hey! So, I have a question. Whenever I scream(false chord) something weird happens. One one day, I sound great, amazing, just like I'm used to. And the next I sound soo bad, or at least different from last time. And it's not that it happens whenever I scream a few days too many. No matter what, I can take a 2 day or a 2 week break, and it still happens. One time I sound one way and the next, regardless of how much time has passed, I sound different. Does anyone know why this happens? And maybe some way to make it stop? Thanks!!

Feedback/help

I've been doing vocals for a few years now but never consistently, I think these are fry screams but not sure. The problem is sometimes everything is fine and smooth and other days I struggle to project and end up with a sore throat and a very croaky sound. I record vocals with a band and we use a sm58 and the recordings don't sound very good all you can hear is the croak and the screams have no power to them, tried eq and compression and distortion but nothing helped. I basically only do screams when we're together recording or practicing so it could be the lack of consistency and control. has anyone got any tips or can at least tell me if I'm doing something wrong in regards to technique?

What kind of distortion is this?

Title pretty much. Been switching up the way I scream because my throat has been hurting. Is this fry, false chord, or something else?

Feedback / Confirm this with me

So been learning false cord/fry/screaming in general since November last year.

I think I've got somewhere with false cord with the final push from this video - https://youtu.be/TG7kRPgZbtA?is=VPnp37hqwPRTSi3I

Feel like I'm doing everything right expect I'm still getting a scratchy mild pain after about a few minutes of doing it.

Now from what I've seen online it could be I'm either doing wrong and will die in seven days or it's just a matter of building endurance since we don't use our false cords that often, according to my old screaming tutor anyways.

What do you guys think? Do you think I'm doing it wrong or just need to build my endurance? Got any helpful tips that'll save me from death? Let me know plz.

Cheers x
