3-4 Days old Jumping spider (Marpissa muscosa) babies

A few years ago I found a jumping spider in my room. She had laid an egg sac, but a few days later I found her dead. I carefully opened the egg sac and moved all the eggs into a small cup to keep them safe instead of throwing them away.

I had absolutely no experience with hatching or raising spiders, so I was honestly surprised that the eggs even survived — especially when 25 out of the 27 actually hatched a few days later.

They grew surprisingly quickly, and once they were a little bigger, I released them outside onto a tree.

Watching all the tiny spiderlings emerge and grow was honestly amazing.

I just found the pictures and videos today so i had to share it here 🤗

Hauswinkelspinne?

Dem Kollegen fehlt auch ein Bein.
