I have a Panda rice cooker that I'm happy with. I used to wash the rice in the bowl of my old rice cooker, and I stopped doing that since I now understand that stirring raw rice will scratch the surface.

However, Yum Asia also insists that the bowl should not be washed in the dishwasher:

I am really surprised that a dishwasher would be so harsh as to damage a ceramic coated metal bowl. Are they being too cautious here? Does anyone have first-hand experience of this?

I have a Fizzi that is slow to carbonate / uses a lot more CO2 than another machine to get to a reasonable fizz. I think the seals are ok, and I strongly suspect that the safety valve has gone loose as in this video:

But on my machine I cannot seem to get the valve unscrewed from the machine, or the red part to turn with respect to the valve. Everything is either very tightly screwed or the threads are glued - either way I am hesitant to pull harder because I think it will break the plastic. Did anyone have any luck with this?
