Candy Flavoring is perfect for flavoring seltzer

I bought some candy flavoring oil off Amazon for $10 and it's perfect. I put 4 drops of watermelon in my sodastream and it tastes exactly like 🍉 jolly ranchers without the sugar! Can't wait to try the other flavors. Way better than bubbly.

Sodastream Fountain leaking!?

It was weird today, all of a sudden, the machine just started leaking from the bottom and it got the whole counter wet, and then I thought that was just I fluke or something, so I run again and again it left water everywhere, so I read online to take it apart on the bottom, check the gasket where the water tank is connected to and then put it back together and it’s still leaked. I’ve only had this for a little under two months.

It seems like this is an ongoing issue?

I want my Diet Dr. Pepper

For those of you who are buying Dr. Pete’s or Diet Dr. Pete’s, I think we can all agree that it’s better than having a regular cola or Pepsi, but it’s just not the same.

To that end, I am hoping if enough people request genuine Dr. Pepper syrups available in consumer packaging and include this phrase: “Please record this as a consumer product request rather than a product-availability inquiry,” then we might be able to get our genuine Dr. Pepper flavors for our SodaStreams.

Here is the link.

SodaStream Fountain: don't

This needs to be recalled immediately. Both units I owned (original and warranty replacement) leaked from the reservoir. I don't know how this made it past quality control.

Sodastream

Il semble que les raccord ont changé sur les bouteilles de gaz à visser. Et cela ne marche plus sur mon appareil. Vous confirmez ?

What am I doing wrong? SodaStream mix always sprays everywhere

Not sure if repost but can’t see my original post anywhere. What am I doing wrong? Just tapping the button causes it to spray everywhere. A complete mess all over the counter every time. I’ve tried filling it up to the line, below the line, no combination seems to work cleanly.

Sodastream Terra stopped carbonating

I've got my sodastream connected to a 5lb CO2 tank, food grade, connected to my terra via a hose adapter on Amazon. Throughout my use it would form some weird crystals on the tip but those would break off and enter the soda, dissolve, nothing weird, when this happened the gas stream would slow but return to normal, no issues carbonating.

About a month ago it stopped carbonating, had very low pressure, I thought the tank was close to empty. Brought it into a place which told me it was still ~ 80% full. I gave up. Tried again 2 weeks later without changing anything, miraculously worked. I started purging the line after each use, thinking maybe the line was freezing.

Now it's happened again. I replaced the whole adapter, hose and all, no avail. Scoured YouTube and Google, took apart the front assembly and confirmed the foil piece is still intact. Gas tank is still weighing similar to before. Any ideas what I should do??

Sodastream Terra connecting the bottle issue

I bought a Terra earlier today, and so far i have spend 4 hours watering my kitchen table 😞 i cant really get it to lock properly when i put the bottle with water in, i feel like its gonna break if i apply more force when connecting it, dont think theres more then a paper between the bottle and the floor of it if any space at all.
everytime i click the button it just sends water flying everywhere, and i really have to apply force to keep it tight and keep the water in. so far still havent carbonated anything haha.

any advice is appreciated, i watched some guides already and it seems so effortless for them to connect the bottle and click the button, while all i get from doing that is a water park.

CO2 bottle refill stations in Germany/Frankurt

Has anyone here experience in getting a big CO2 bottle itself refilled in Germany?
Maybe someone has a shop recommendation in the Frankfurt am Main area?
Or are you all just using the big CO2 bottles until they are empty and just exchange them or bu a new one?

Thanks!

Why is CO2 leaking out the backside? Has anyone else ever experienced this problem and also fixed it? Tried it with 2 different cylinders

Forbidden Samples

Ocean state joblot (north east us discount store) has two soda stream models on their website. I ordered a genesis and it came with samples dated 2013. My partner says I should not consume them.. All of the liquid seems to evaporated out of the diet flavors, but some of the non-diet flavors still have liquid in them. My partner says I should not consume any of them.

Finally made the switch - the best decision!

I live in Ireland and used a CO2 subscription service that delivered 4 filled sodastream QC cylinders and collected the empties. They recently hiked the price to €60 and I couldnt justify it considering that one bottle was lasting roughly 2 weeks.

Ordered a 20lb/8 litre tank of food grade co2 from an aquarium store for €140. When it runs out the refill cost is €60.

Some math would put that at 15 ish sodastream bottles in this 20lb tank.

Subscription service: €225 - €240

Tank (excluding upfront cost): €60

Total set up cost €185 (Tank & Adapter)

If you own a sodastream machine and are still using the small cylinders, do your research and make the switch.

Canister running out?

We’ve noticed that our soda stream canisters will run out of air for carbonation even with only a few uses. I’m guessing it slowly leaks and runs out over time. Even if we’ve used it 2 or 3 times, it would go completely flat within 2 weeks. Is this normal?

Where do you exchange the used 60L cylinders?

No more bed bath and beyond and Walmart stopped taking them. I still have a few I bought from Walmart a couple of years ago, what are my options now?

Location: southern California

Where can I buy just 1 cannister?

I use Simplisoda for CO2 refills. They will do free shipping if you do 4 cannisters at a time. I currently have 3 cannisters. They (and most others, it seems) only sell new cannisters in 2 packs.

Can I buy just 1 cannister anywhere to get me to a nice even 4?

USPS refuses to pick up empty co2 cartridges from homes? Or is it just ME?

I have been a patron on Sodastream since March of 2018. I survived the rationing that was done during the “shutdown of 2020”. Bought a second machine when the first went terminal.

But this? I may not survive!

One of the BEST things about soda stream is the fact that one does not need to leave the perimeter to receive or return C02, until now.

4 months ago, I did my usual exchange, set up a subscription, as sodastream suggests and last week I received my order, scheduled a pick up through the USPS app, by scanning the USPS QR code. Only to have the mail person REFUSE TO TAKE.

I’ve had my phone calls with the postal service, dropped off the empty containers at the post office. I did it!

Today, I called soda stream…customer service appeared surprised at this.

Any soda stream people out there have the postal person refusing pickup of a package that clearing states what it is, on their sticker…scheduled through their app?

I did a quick search of any mail trucks catching fire due to having empty co2 in their vehicles, did not find any.

What am I doing wrong

I have the following set up, with several empty canisters. Got slightly different anti fill caps on each empty. I put them in the freezer first, slowly open the gas, but I get a few seconds hiss & dispensed enough for about 4 fills.
