Question about Customized villager homes

I have recently redecorated my final villager home. When I go to visit them and they are cooking, they totally ignore the kitchen I gave them and pull out some other kitchen to cook on. But, whyyyyyy? This isn’t the first time I noticed this, but before I thought maybe because the kitchen didn’t contain a stove that was the issue, but now Murphy pulled out a different kitchen, also without a stove, to cook on!

Question about villager interactions

So I’m very late to the animal crossing world, I’ve been playing for a couple of months and have been low-key obsessed. I’ve really enjoyed the decorating aspect, and I have all these beautiful little areas on my island. They are accessible and I’ve included usable seating. Some of the areas my villagers actually use, but a lot of them I have never seen a villager interact with. This has me feeling like the villagers don’t like them and I should tear them down and try something different. Is that a thing? Or am I over thinking it? I saw someone post somewhere that if you put out the microphone your music hobby villagers will sing into it. That was one of the very first things I did, and I’ve never seen a villager interact with any of the instruments, much less the microphone. They just sing in the plaza. So, do my villagers care? Or is it just me?
